yes they are quite therapeutic aren't they.

I find it very soothing when he lays on my lap purring as he is right this minute. It can quite easily make me nod off :-D

ZZzzz Report 17 Jun 2021 00:16

But I enjoyed it anyway.

ZZzzz Report 17 Jun 2021 00:15

A couple I know always take on ex show cats and when I visited them the cat spent most of its time on my lap which is very unusual, don't know whether that was a good or bad thing.

Chico with his siamese traits is very vocal and answers us if we speak to him. He is very timid so he avoids all visitors and family except for us 2

A bit like our Boxer dog then, he followed me everywhere and howled the house down if I dared to go out and leave him at home.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 16 Jun 2021 23:48

Mine didn't but he took to them eventually and adored the oldest black one and he was devestated when she had to be put down at 18 years old. He also ruins the remaining one who follows him everywhere :-D

I would have a cat a heart beat but alas hubby doesn't like them :-(

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 16 Jun 2021 23:36

I didn't mind as it would have been a nightmare moving them so far north and they only had a small yard as a garden. There is only one left now and he is a gorgeous boy half Bengal and half Siamese.

A friend of my sister had a Bernese cat, cost a fortune but was left to run wild until my sister took it on.

ZZzzz

ZZzzz Report 16 Jun 2021 23:30

Ooo, I would have parked them back onto her, couldn't be doing with all those cats then or now.

I always had dogs years ago but this OH is not keen on them so the kids had cats instead. Well daughter did and left all 4 of them with us when she moved away. :-0

We wanted a Boxer because our son was only about 3 years old and we knew the nature of Boxers would be good for him which it was.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 16 Jun 2021 23:10

Oh bless that is awful. <3

ZZzzz Report 16 Jun 2021 23:08

We think he didn't like water because he was white and not a show dog so they tried to drown him.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 16 Jun 2021 22:57

He doesn't mind water too much. Our old lady used to lay in the shallows of the fish pond if it was hot. She thought she was a Tiger :-D :-D :-D.

ZZzzz

ZZzzz Report 16 Jun 2021 22:50

A dog we used to have would do that to me, he hated water and was a Boxer so not a lightweight.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 16 Jun 2021 22:47

No he just jumped up on me and made me soggy too :-| :-D :-D

ZZzzz Report 16 Jun 2021 22:44

Aww poor moggy, probably looked at you as if it was your fault that it rained.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 16 Jun 2021 22:37

No storm yet but I realised it was raining when a rather soggy moggy came in :-D :-D :-D
