It does seem that your work is winding down doesn't it.

Hubby has just put a damper on my trip to Durham and Newcastle, says he will worry because it can't walk very far or fast and know he will, he always does, I suggested he come with me, he can't drive that far and when I said come with me then by train, no answer came the stern reply. :-(

I don't think my lifestyle will change much from what it is now. I don't see us going back to the office, unless it is just occasionally until the lease expires, then I think that will be it. They will either move everything onto the cloud or rent a small office for the servers and we can hot desk if we need to go in. Judging by the numbers of cars using our spaces by the new tenants, it will be relief not to have to go in, even though there are very few of us now. Another one leaves this week and another in two weeks time :-0

The weather is improving here at long last with some nice days to come. It may last long enough to break before I start my annual leave in just over a couple of weeks time :-D :-D

I am sat down relaxing with my tablet and emails .
ZZzzz glad you got some info ,what I can tell you is that the durham record office is out at Aykley heads .a bus ride out of Durham .but easy accessed .
There are lots of accommodation in Durham but check out when the graduation events are first as you will get no where near .

Oh that's brilliant news. I have been to our History Society Archives today,the first time since Feb 2020. It was lovely to go shuffling the dusty papers again :-D

On a lighter note I e mailed the Durham visitor centre yesterday, they answered me today with loads of information and will be posting ( snail mail ) maps and other info too. Thanks to Maz for the suggestion :-D

I am afraid Southgate got it all wrong from start to finish in our opinion. He should have put the youngsters out at the start of the match to tire the Italians then substitute them for his old has beens. As for getting poor Saka to take the last penalty he must need his head testing as he has never taken a penalty in his time at his own club. Grealish was clambering to be given the chance to take one because he is good at the job but stupid Southgate refused.

It's a disgrace, Maz :-| :-| It was bad enough last night, but I didn't know then that some of the fans had attached the Italian fans as well. Presumably it would be the thugs that turned up at Wembley without tickets that did it, but it is appalling. I wouldn't be surprised if we lose out now on the 2030 World Cup bid.

Much as i admired our team, I was very disappointed to see some of them taking off their medals whilst on the podium.

It really hurts me that it is proving to be a case of all English people being tarred with the same brush.

Seriously time to find a resolution to nasty racial comments. I'm not sure what can be done about non-ticketed idiots. Football is always connected to too much alcohol. Other sport don't seem to suffer the same fate. Look at the 2012 Olympics in London and what a good time was had by all.

Well it has rained all day here ,
ZZzzz i don't know Newcastle for accommodation .I am in Co Durham ,the tourist info should help .
It was a nail biter last nite .the behaviour in areas were shocking through the ticket office area .and the back lash on social media is awful .
