We will be driving so that we can get to the villages we need from Skegness where we will be staying

I have to wait till I can go safely by train and use buses and taxies when I get there, when ever that will be. :-(

I hope you get lucky too :-D. We have some Lincolnshire places to search next and that will be at the end of August when we have racing meetings on 2 days of the 4 we are there

I hope to have some success like that in Durham when I eventually get there.

I am indeed I know have to get the pics off of OH's camera and write up
my notes. I will leave them tonight though as I am cream crackered :-D

Wow that was a good result, bet you are chuffed.

Well we found some graves but we didn't dig them up :-D :-D :-D. OH played with his new camera and took some good pictures. Unfortunately a lot of the gravestones are so eroded that they cannot be read :-(. We went inside the church and took some pictures of the altar and the font. They were such lovely people there for if we wanted any help. Afterwards we went to some of the addresses where we knew some of the ancestors lived

Did you dig up any ancestors?

Cooooeee we are back. We have had a great day with a mixture of research and fun. It was cloudy but warm so ideal for walking about.
I had to smile as just before we got there we passed a JCB :-D :-D :-D :-D

I was more comfortable at work though ,I am waiting for the usual chat with Auntie

I don't want to get up in a morning in the winter!!

Tonight I have had the hot water bottle in the fridge all evening!! Let's hope it works. I have been feeling really grotty today and really need some proper sleep.
I'm going to go now while I am feeling a bit cooler.. I might finish up on the sofa if the bedroom is too warm!!

I don't mind the dark nights as long as I have something to keep me entertained.

I don't like winter :-| Dark nights and early mornings, having to adjust my eyes to artificial light when I get out of bed :-| :-| I don't mind the cold so much as, like you say, LG, you can warm yourself up.

I think spring is my favourite season, watching things spring into life, even if the weather can be temperamental !!

I won't it is my favourite season. I can wrap up and keep warm and dry but in Summer I cannot get cool and comfortable :-D

We will be unhappy with cold, wet and snow...... maybe

Maz, I emailed the Durham tourist office explaining what I intend to do and today I have received a letter via snail mail with maps, a list of hotels near the station and some other information, all within a week. :-D
