Talking of umbrellas, we used to go to Sweeps week in Kent and for lots of times it didn't rain but on one occasion it did so my sister needed to buy one, the only one in the shop and when she opened it outside it had oh shit it's raining written on it.

I keep a brolly in the car, but I must remember to get it out of the shopping bag in the boot. I usually keep in the glove compartment, but emptied it out last week when the valeter came. It's only a quick visit tomorrow, then back on Thursday for 3 hour whilst remedial work is carried out. I was going to sneak off to the outlet across the road, but the boss is back of leave tomorrow and although she is in Essex, she may well e-mail me!!

Evening everyone :-)

We had a heavy downpour for about 15 mins at teatime, but we need more!! The road was certainly building up with water, but it was soon gone once the rain stopped.

Evening Maz, it is pouring down now but no thunder. The cat has just come in and he is a mighty soggy moggy :-D :-D

It has been muggy all day hopefully it will feel better in the morning as its very humid at present

Afternoon all, e have been busy doing loads of little odd jobs around the place today. It has just stopped raining but it was not enough to water the garden properly :-|. I have just got off the phone with my London cousin and we have now caught up with the latest gossip :-D

We can't use the hose as the taps have been changed and it doesn't fit on them. I have to use the watering can so our bill isn't to much bigger than normal.

You might find yourself getting more than a bit hot if the forecast is right, LG :-0 :-0

I'm working tomorrow, so the rain won't make much difference to me and it will definitely save me watering the grass. I'm afraid to run too much off now that my water bill has increased so much!!

Evening YG, OH says we have been to Cleethorpes and it must have been amazing because I don't remember it ;-). Southport does have the sea go out a long way so we did not walk out for a paddle :-D.
I don't want a heatwave then as it is our big racing weekend and I get too b****y hot :-| Shopping for us tomorrow morning so I hope it doesn't rain until we get back

LG, I wouldn't go out of my way to visit Cleethorpes. It isn't anything to shout home about and the sea isn't blue!! The beaches are lovely and the sea is so far out that you can't see it (a bit like Southport, if I remember correctly). It comes in at a fair pace though!! :-D
