I have a few narrow raised beds but the rest is lawn and brick paving. I cut down the size of the borders a lot a few years back to save us some work. |

We had one at the bottom of the garden, a compost bin that is but got rid of it because we mostly have lawn now so don't need one. |

Have you tried sprinkling talcum powder in it, that kills most smells for a while. |

We did have to pressure wash the bin when it was emptied, we usually just rinse it. |

I was disappointed as I thought they would be coming on 16th, but hey ho! I will just have to do another run to the tip if needs be as the gardener will be cutting the hedges so there will plenty to put in the bin. At least the bin will be emptied before he comes again at the beginning of October. |
