Hello Sue and Tec :-)

Sue it's nice when other people see thing's from your point of view and better still agree with what you say, let's hope the secretary understand's it will make sense to do it that way.

Tec that will be nice for you and OH to see your sister again after such a long time, just make sure you don't over do thing's by rushing around trying to entertain you guest.

Well let's hope third time lucky with ATOS, I have re-arranged my appointment and hopefully it will all be over and done with after I have been tomorrow, best they don't make me wait around to long and then decide they can't see me again as I don't think I would be very accommodating as I was last time.

Hi Persie - enjoy your hot shower :-)

Yesterday was like a summer's day. It reached 29C here and was very humid. I had a headache all day. It will be much cooler today and cold by the end of the week.

Tecwyn Report 10 Sep 2013 23:12

No - you are not a trouble maker. Just helping to make things as they should be in a well run democratic organisation.
There is no place for power crazed dragons in any organisation

Thank you Persie - My sister is a very special person.

Enjoy your nice hot shower :-)

I can't imagine the Secretary will be overly pleased :-D It has also been decided that the office will be available to all members - something else she won't be happy about. That is something another committee member and I have wanted for awhile and it has been brought up at open meetings. The President wasn't aware of that so that will change. I'm such a troublemaker :-D

Persephone Report 10 Sep 2013 23:04

I think it is wonderful that you are seeing your sister albeit a short visit... Eight years is a long time.

It has now got cold.. so think I need a nice hot shower..

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 10 Sep 2013 22:59

It would be much better for everyone if things could be arranged that way in future, and it is ridiculous for anyone to try to chair a meeting and take minutes. I wouldn't do that.
I hope madam secretary will approve of the new system :-D.

Yes I am really looking forward to seeing my sister after all this time. She has been here before, many years ago, while my mother was alive. They stayed for a week then.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 10 Sep 2013 22:52

It went well Tec - we had a good chat and he agreed with everything that I said. He has decided that when we have our new office he will insist that all information, blank letterheads etc. will be put in the office. Everything will be on the computer with backup. He also said that if I chair the meeting next week and no-one will take the minutes then I should cancel the meeting. We both agreed that it's impossible to do both.

I can well imagine that you are looking forward to seeing your sister :-)

Good Morning Sue :-)

Maybe you need a new computer, or laptop.

How did yesterday go with Mr President?

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 10 Sep 2013 22:43

Hello everyone - I've had trouble with my computer this morning. It keeps cutting out and restarting :-(

Hello Persie :-)

I think I could also do with some of what Linda's having too :-D.

I think undertakers (what a strange title) do a very necessary job, but not a profession I could follow. I suppose it's like any other job in the end.
There is a very smart hearse in this area. Number plate "SAD ONE" it always brings a smile to my face, but then I do have a bizarre sense of humour.

It is best not to look at leg ulcers at any time - at one time the nurses used to take photo's of mine :-( quite disgusting, heaven knows what they wanted them for. I do after all have slightly better features.

It was 16 C here today, and felt rather Autumnal. Cloudy with sunny spells.

Tecwyn Report 10 Sep 2013 22:11

Hope you enjoyed dinner Linda - go easy on the wine though. You must maintain your decorum. :-D.

Hello Diane. Thank you. It is sad that SIL has lost his father, but he was very ill.

My sister that I haven't seen for eight years is visiting next week, so I am looking forward to seeing her enormously. We have always been very close since childhood. She and her OH are not staying with us, but spending a few hours on their way up to Portmeirion.
It would have been lovely to have them stay with us, but not very practicle at the moment - still it will be lovely to see her, if only for a short time

Persephone

Persephone Report 10 Sep 2013 22:04

Oh dear, oh dear and oh dear Having read the last two pages and the fact that is not very nice weather outside here....

I have decided "I'll have what Linda's having." much nicer and cheap wine as well.

Sorry to read about your SIL's father Tec.. I have not really got too involved in the procedure but know what to do. I knew the funeral director in Birkenhead when my mother died and he knew my mother from when they were children plus he knew me because I was the Registrar for Births and Deaths in the area for awhile. OH handled my father's and his parents and now if anything happens to OH before me I have a wonderful SIL who is now in the business.

It is disconcerting though when you are in the middle of a conversation with my SIL at his place or ours when he is on call and he gets phoned to go and collect a dead body.

I went and had a look at an article about leg ulcers and decided not before breakfast. Not after breakfast and I may not even go there again.

Sue, am not sure how you can run a meeting when you don't have the facts. I used to take the minutes of meetings and keep up with the play because one is relied on to know everything and bring all up to speed as they say.

Hi de Di and hello Jem of the slippery Elm.

There are wasps which tare a great interest at lunchtime.

I have been for my first dip in the sea, it is shingle but my new beach shoes were excellent, I should have got some years ago. The beach slopes gently so it is quite warm even on a day like today when it is not that sunny.

Time to regroup and rest before donning the finery for dinner The food has been very good so far and the wine is cheap so it couldn't be better :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 10 Sep 2013 12:48

Sounds like you are having a relaxing time Linda.

Sunshine and showers here, and rather windy, but not cold.

WATCH OUT FOR THE WASPS :-D.

Hope you had a nice lunch. Take care and enjoy yourself.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 10 Sep 2013 09:15

Your ulcer sounds awful, I hope it responds to the treatment soon.

Ready meals are a good idea, bulk them up with frozen veg cooked inter microwave as well. I will allow you to use convenience food while you are ill :-D

It is a bit sunnier here,so we will take to the loungers soon and spend the day reading, it is such a hard life.

Enjoy your day Berona - we change the clocks in a few weeks, more time to chat then I think. :-)

Sleep well Jemima, and thanks again for the article
