Sounds very nice where you are Linda. You keep signing those little bits of paper. I'm sure it means everything is free :-D.

It has been a miserable dull day here, and very wet this afternoon. Temp 14 C.

I still have painting to do, and was hoping to have it all finished by when my sister visits, but frustrated that I can't do it at the moment.

It is lovely that your sister is coming to see you Tec, I hope you have a lovely time.

I hope you get everything sorted with ATOS Diane

You would like it here Persie, we had a lovely lunch and everything must be free because you don't have to pay, all you have to do is sign a little bit of paper, I think that must be to say that you liked it :-)

remembered why I stopped wearing this costume, the top sags when it gets wet and I have just done a one sided flash :-) I don't think anyone noticed :-)

I had to split the post because I couldn't get the cursor back to the end of the line after I had corrected something

Hello Berona,

Just spotted you before I ran away. :-D

I think even funeral directors have to be watched. Most of the family run businesses are honourable, but some need watching. The most awful thing I saw was when my mother buried her brother. As the funeral cars pulled up outside my uncles house after the funeral, the director followed my mother into the house with the bill in his hand, and asked could she settle it there and then. Mum was too upset to argue, and wrote him a cheque for the amount asked.
I followed him back to his car and told him in no uncertain terms what I thought of him. I threatened to report him to whatever association they belong to, but I never did.

Well I really am going to bed now - Goodnight :-)

Goodnight Tec and Diane - sleep well <3 <3

Hello Berona - it was very warm here and humid. I saw the bushfires on the news last night. It's not even bushfire season yet. We haven't had any rain for awhile so everything will be very dry.

Enjoy your day <3

Diane Report 10 Sep 2013 23:44

It is Sue but if they didn't allow it then I would have got my Dr to send a letter ( which they insist on ) to say I needed a home visit.

Well as my appointment is a morning one I best get to bed.

Good night Tec hope you manage to get some sleep :-)

Enjoy your day Sue, Persie and Berona when you arrive :-) <3

Nobody in bed yet? I'm early!! Nice day coming up with a top of 24 expected. Yesterday reached 30 and we had bushfires in two directions. Already? and Spring has only just started. Fortunately, the wind has dropped, giving the fire-fighters a chance to control them. The one only about 20 miles west of here, destroyed a shed, and came very close to destroying some homes too.

Tec - my condolences to your daughter, SIL and grand-daughter. Hope they get through this loss without too much hassle with the business side of things. When my Dad died, I sat with Mum and the funeral director whilst she gave her instructions. The man brought out three photos of caskets and priced them at $100,$200 & $300. Mum, of course, wanted the best for Dad, but I did put my bit in and said Dad would be ropeable if he knew she paid for the best (for a cremation), so she opted for the cheapest one. They all looked the same to me and when you only see one on the day, you don't think to find fault with it!. I also asked for a written quote, which he gave her. However, five months later when Mum died, I called the same man and he came out as before. I told him I wanted it the same as she had ordered for Dad's funeral and he said that he had it all at the office, etc. etc. ....but, I forgot to ask for a written quote - and on the day of the funeral, I was grieving - not thinking of checking on the funeral director. On the following day, the bill arrived (must have been posted on the same day as the funeral) and we were charged for the most expensive casket $300. How do you prove anything once the evidence has gone? We just paid it and put it down to 'experience'. This helped me a few years later, when I arrange my OH's funeral. Although I used a different funeral company, I wrote down everything I wanted, before I made the arrangements and made sure I didn't get cheated.

I'm glad your sister is aware of the situation Tec and I hope you all enjoy the time together.
Thank you Tec I will tell them how it is but at the end of the day they will make their own decision how it is for me :-( I don't have much faith in them and expect I will get Nil point's again if they decide I'm to be one of their sacrifices of reduction number's for the goverment's reform's :-(

It's good that you are allowed someone for moral support, Diane.

It is Sue and as you say I get quite stressed, I'm just so glad that I have my friend to take me and be with me.

Tecwyn Report 10 Sep 2013 23:30

I won't rush around for my sister Diane. She is aware of the situation here, and very understanding.
They will be here for their lunch, so I will go shopping the day before, and make a nice buffet lunch. Her OH has quite an appetite :-D so I'd better take that into account.

I hope things go better for you with ATOS. Try to impress upon them how things really are for you.
Good Luck

I think our summer is now over Sue, but we can't grumble. It was the best summer for years.
Hopefully we may get another nice spell in late September, we often do, and again hopefully we may get a mild winter. Not that it's ever severe here on the coast.
