Hello :-)

Sue and Berona , I hope you soon get some nice warm weather and sunshine .

Linda , I'm pleased to see you are enjoying your holiday .

Tec , I too am bothered about your poor leg , I hope you can rest it as much as you possiably can and that the nurses listen to your opinion !

There was some awful local news yesterday , a young girl ( about 9 years old ) was knocked down crossing the road outside the allotments , she was taken to the hospital and then airlifted to Addenbrooks . The child is a friend of our Daisy from school . Our Megan is devastated as she had only lifted the same little girl out of a tree the day before , the kiddie had got stuck and a gaggle of friends where trying to help her down , so Meg offered assistance and got a hug for saving her . To then hear this terriable news has knocked her for six :-(
We did hear today that the child has been put into a coma , that her brain scans are good but she has broken ten bones ( which ones I do not know ) . I am just praying that she pulls through and makes a good recovery .
Meg is starting a petition to get a zebra crossing on the road in question , it really does need one !!

Well I'm off to bed now,

Enjoy your drive out Sue,

Hello Berona, and Persie,

Goodnight,
Tec :-)

Good Morning Sue,

I hope the day stays nice so that you can enjoy a drive.

Will see the nurse tomorrow, so will tell her that whatever she is doing is obviously not working. I may ask to see the Sister who is quite good with ulcers. Trouble is now that she is Team Leader she does not do the clinic, being stuck in the office with paperwork - that a clerk would be better employed doing.

Hello :-D

I do hope you will start shouting soon, Tec.

Linda - I did approve :-D Sounds like you had a good if tiring day in Dubrovnic. I'm glad to hear there isn't too much damage. We have an acquaintance who comes from Beirut and he was devastated to see the damage that has been done in the city. Very sad.

We had rain overnight which is good. The sun is shining at the moment. We may go for a drive down the coast.

Linda you would be amazed what I get up to when you're out of the country :-D.
I have confessed all to mother, and she did approve in this instance.

It was a beautiful day here today, sunny and very warm, but tomorrow we are expecting gale force winds and torrential rain.
My sister is visiting on Tuesday, and I'm so looking forward to seeing her. She and her OH have booked into a hotel near Porthmadog and will visit Portmerion on Wednesday.

We have enjoyed dinner TEC.

It really is time you started shouting, if your antibiotics are finished, your last is not going to improve, so demand a swab on Monday.

Anyway what I this I read about you having a tryst with another woman, has Sue approved this?

Hello Berona - Thank you for being concerned about my leg, but don't worry, I've got another one :-D.
I don't like to make a fuss, but I will start to shout if things don't improve soon. I think there is a saying, that it's the squeaking gate that gets the attention. Well I shall start to squeak soon :-D

Linda glad that you made it into Dubrovnic, and pleased to hear there was not too much damage to the old town.
Sightseeing is hard on the feet on hot pavements, so not surprised your feet are complaining.
I guess about now you will be going for dinner, so enjoy it.

We did manage to get the bus today. I am all cultured out and my feet are aching, but it is a beautiful place . It was heaving with tourists though, mainly Americans

There's some damage done during the 1990 war, but mercifully not too much, it would have been tragic to lose such an important place

Berona Report 14 Sep 2013 08:53

Hello all. Just looking in whilst my dinner is getting itself ready for me.

Tec - you do worry me with your leg. Please take care and rest it as much as you can - and have your say at the clinic! I know they don't like to be told they are doing the wrong thing, but I'm sure you can do it in a diplomatic way. If they still don't do it right - you have my permission to SHOUT at them!

Hope you are enjoying your holiday Linda.

Nice day here to-day, although not quite as hot as I like it. Back to a normal spring day, so I can't grumble.

I would tell you Sue :-D if only to brighten your day :-D

Well I'm off to bed now,

Enjoy your day Sue, hope the weather picks up.

Goodnight,
Tec :-) :-)

Tecwyn Report 13 Sep 2013 23:40

Yes it was painful Sue - white knuckle chewing time, but I only got what was absolutely necessary. Strangely the worst time was standing waiting at the checkout.
Anyway, it's done now, and I'm doing nothing this weekend, except what I have to in the house.
Taffy is coming to stay as his mother is going away. She knows I can't walk him, so a friend of hers is going to collect him twice a day to go for a walk.

How frustrating, Tec :-( It must have been very painful doing the shopping.

It is good that there are organisations prepared to give people with special needs a chance of employment. A subject very close to my heart.

If past experience is anything to go by, I am taking the wrong antibiotics. They didn't do a swab, so have no idea what type of infection I have. When this doesn't work they will take a swab, then come back to me in a panic, changing the antibiotic.
This has happened before - but they won't listen - they know best :-0

SueMaid Report 13 Sep 2013 23:12

When we stayed with Linda and her OH Linda took me to a small café for lunch. They also employ young people with special needs. It's lovely to see these young people given a chance to work.

I'm sorry that you're not getting anywhere with your leg. It must be so frustrating to try everything and it is still bad. Perhaps another dose of antibiotics will get rid of the infection.

The Salvation Army café sounds good.

There is a café in the town of Oswestry where we used to visit regularly once. It isn't Salvation Army, but run by a Christian organisation. They employ people with special needs, and run an organisation in the area especially for them.
The service is excellent, the café very clean and pleasant to visit, and the food is good, and reasonably priced.

SueMaid Report 13 Sep 2013 22:58

I will Tec :-D It will look so smart I won't want to do any washing in there :-D

After we did our shopping yesterday OH took me for lunch at a Salvation Army café. It was lovely and a place I've never been to before. OH was there the other day with a group of ladies who go there regularly. He suggested we try it. They give work experience to young disadvantaged people and people with special needs. It's very modern and the food and coffee are excellent as they employ their chefs.

The new air conditioner will be appreciated in the summer months Sue. I have no experience of domestic systems, as you know we don't have them here normally.
There is one on the side of a café near me, and that makes an awful noise.

The laundry will be so smart when it's revamped. You'll be daring anyone to dump anything there :-D for a while anyway.
