I missed the 70.000 post too.

Yes we should have a big party when Linda is home again.

Will there be sausage rolls? :-D

I don't know Tec - it seems a long time ago :-D

We also missed out celebrating our 70,000 post :-| We'll wait until Linda gets back and have a big party.

Good Morning Persie,

I hope you feel up to hopping on and off buses and trains after your shower.
Where do you go to on all these train rides?

The Duchess forgot to take her book or Kindle - she usually takes one, but prpbably believed me when I said "I won't be many minutes in there" :-( :-D

Persephone Report 19 Sep 2013 22:32

I am just going to shower, then we are off to one of the train stations (yep again).. we will take the car, rather than walk to bus stop, catch bus, then train...it is raining and my asthma is playing up a bit but I should be okay... will see how I feel after my shower.

I could do with sitting on a balcony and reading my book though, sounds ideal and then a walk to the pizzeria would suit me fine.

I hope the duchess took a book to read whilst she waited for you Tec.. I have a book with me at most times when I am out with himself as never know how long he is going to be at the DIY stores, medical treatment places etc

Hello :-D

Hope the weather brightens up for you Linda but as long as it's warm you can still enjoy sitting on the balcony.

Just as well you took the Duchess home, Tec where I'm sure you can cope better with a hypo. I do hope the Duchess is feeling much better now.

Sorry I wasn't on for a chat yesterday but it was my birthday and I had a sleep in and then OH brought me coffee and breakfast in bed :-)

Hello Linda :-)

Hope the weather will improve tomorrow so that you can get to the beach again.

It was a lovely afternoon here after a grey wet start. I went for a warfarin test this afternoon. The Duchess decided to come with me for a ride as it was so nice, but I had to wait 55 minutes after my appointment time before I got seen to. She sat in the car all that time in the car park. We had planned to go and sit on the promenade afterwards, but she wanted to go home, which was just as well, as she had a hypo as soon as we got in.
Never mind, another day maybe.

It has been a bit of a grotty day today. It rained hard this morning so we just sat on the balcony and read. It had cleared up by lunchtime so we walked around the bay to a nice pizzeria for lunch

We went out on the beach for an hour, but then it started to rain again,so we came back in. It is still nice and warm,so we don't mind

Hello Berona,

I expect you have climbed into bed now. Thank you for your concern re my stupid leg. I am resting it when I can. Have had a busy few days, but things have eased now, so I can rest a bit more.
I am getting a bit more sleep than I was, and that helps get through the day. I have been here many times before, so realise that it takes as long as it takes to heal. At least I am now getting the correct treatment from the Sister that knows what she's doing.
This afternoon I'm off to the Health Centre for a Warfarin blood test as that has been irregular lately. Thank goodness for an automatic car.
Tango practice has been suspended for the present, so you too can have a rest and stop terrorising Kitty as you swoop about the living room kicking your legs high in the air.

The day started wet and grey, but now the sun has appeared and it's quite warm.

Now time to make lunch - take care Berona, and have a good night.

Tec :-)

Tec - I just popped in to ask if you are resting the leg? Hope it is showing signs of improvement and that you are not losing much sleep because of it. Thinking of you and hoping it will improve and be less painful very soon.
Goodnight from me for now. You have a good day.

That was very kind of Ray Gravell - but he was that kind of man. Great rugby player, broadcaster etc. A thoroughly decent human being. I remember how seriously he took being made a member of the Bardic Circle at the Eisteddfod. A very sad day when he died prematurely.
I believe that he and Roy Noble were great friends - someone else I admire greatly.

JemimaFawr Report 18 Sep 2013 22:24

Yes of course. My brother played rugby for our village, and other villages when he moved. He also played for Carmarthen Quins.

After the fire at our home, Ray Gravell, who was in school with my brother, and who actually lived in our village for a while, kitted my brother out with a whole new rugby kit. He was a wonderful man, player and also a bit of a card!!!! :-D

Of course it's Leigh, not Lee, silly me. The brain has gone to bed suffering from sleep deprivation :-D.
I know what you mean about playing against each other, as against playing as a National Team, but playing with their own teams is where they hone their skills.

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 18 Sep 2013 22:09

We absolutely love Leigh Halfpenny!!!
In fact I tend to watch the Blues more than Scarlets because of Leigh (I call him my little Leigh!)
Because I got back in to Rugby by watching the Wales team, I do not enjoy watching the teams matches so much, as I don't like it when they play against each other!!!! :-S
So I usually watch the teams when they play against non-Welsh teams.

Great! I watched some league with my husband last weekend, but I don't like it as much as union.
