Good Morning Sue,

I don't think you would enjoy looking after me - I am a bit cantankerous when I'm in pain, and not always my cordial self.

Whereas I'm sure Linda is sweetness and light at all times - though more demanding than me :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 29 Sep 2013 22:34

Making sure everything is ready at the same time is a skill :-D

Tecwyn Report 29 Sep 2013 22:31

I have much in common with your OH Linda, as I panic if everything is cooked and ready at the same time, and panic if it isn't.
Runs about the kitchen like a headless chicken :-D (in the days when I could run that is)

I'm sure the lady in the Co-op will find somebody else to chat up - probably better looking, and wealthy :-D

As will all the old biddies :-D

I am thinking of going over to the UK and setting up a little infirmary for the three of you. Of course Diane will have to be in isolation :-)

I am being pampered Tec, OH even managed to cook dinner and have everything ready at the same time.

It is good that your daughter did a large shop for you, but your friendly check out operator is going to miss you :-D

Hello Diane,
Sorry to see that you are still full of cold, but please don't sneeze on this screen as I have enough to contend with :-D Seriously, I hope that you feel better soon.
Maybe Coco is talking to you :-D.

Hello Linda - Hopefully you are tucked up in bed being pampered today. Hopefully your strong antibiotics will be effective soon and you'll be restored to being fighting fit and ready for anything.
My antibiotics finish today. They are also very strong, with unpleasant side effects.

Today is dull and cloudy, and rather cool. I think I might put the heating on for a while.

My daughter and SIL left for home early this morning as they have to be somewhere else this afternoon. It was lovely to see them, and having done the shopping has saved me a lot of hassle.

Hello everyone, I have just caught up with the thread. I hope you got breakfast in bed as well this morning Tec.

I just slept most of yesterday, but I got up for dinner. Strictly Come Dancing was on straight after that,so I decided to stay downstairs to watch it, but I only managed to watch two dances before I needed to go back to bed. It is now 11am and I have toddled to the computer, but I just want to go back to bed again.

I am taking double strength antibiotics, so I don't know if that has anything to do with my feeling so tired. The leaflet inside the pack said the normal dosage is two a day, but some times you may be asked to take three and on rare occasions you may be asked to take more. This is obviously as rare occasion as I am taking four a day.

I am sorry that you have a bad cold Diane, I hope you feel better soon

Diane

You have an email, Tec :-)

Good Morning Sue,

When the doorbell went this morning I nearly didn't bother answering as I though it was Jehovah's Witnesses who usually call at that time on a Saturday morning. :-D
I wrote a shopping list and my daughter and Sil went off to the supermarket.

My SIL seems to be coping with the loss of his father. I think that he has been so busy since his father became ill for a short time, then died, that he hasn't had much time to reflect.
I think apart from wanting to come to see us, they also wanted to run away from everything at home for a break, albeit a short one.
They also managed a long walk on the beach this afternoon, though it was sunny, it was very windy, especially on the beach. Needless to say I didn't go.

Wow Jem - perhaps you should have supported the Springboks :-D

Hello Tec - what a lovely surprise. I can imagine that cheered you and the Duchess up. Also good that your daughter and SIL brought along some groceries. You don't have to worry about shopping for awhile. Is you SIL coping with the loss of his father?

There wasn't much to buy at the markets. It was very windy and people were packing up early. We then went to the Tulip Festival which is held every year. Although it was very windy the tulips looked magnificent. I will send you some photos later.

Hello Jemima,

Yes it was a lovely surprise. It has been a very difficult few weeks for them, they live in Shropshire, a 100 miles away, so a long way to come really.
Sorry to see the Wallabies lost the match.

Good Evening Tec :-)

That was a lovely surprise for you, your daughter and son-in-law turning up unexpectedly. So glad that they've done you a big shop. I hope things go well at the hospital on monday.

Sorry you've been unwell:-(. Hope you are feeling better now.

How are you today Sue? :-) Did you enjoy the markets?

Tecwyn Report 28 Sep 2013 22:34

Glad you are a little better Linda - I have peeled you some grapes. Take care and keep warm.

Jemima I hope you enjoyed the rugby. I didn't watch or listen to it today as we had visitors.

Good Morning Sue - You were very restrained not to have bought anything - was it OH who was restraining you? :-D

My daughter and SIL arrived unexpectedly this morning, which was a lovely surprise, especially as it was his fathers funeral on Thursday.
They have been to the supermarket and done a big shop for us, which is enormously helpful.. daughter also made dinner tonight.
They are leaving in the morning, and have gone to bed now.
I have to go to the hospital on Monday, but wouldn't be able to manage the shopping - it is difficult enough having to walk the corridor at the hospital.
