It should be an exciting time for you all Sue :-)

The Duchess's sister and her OH are having a holiday in Aus soon. They are hiring a car and travelliing around Port Douglas, Cook Town, and Cairns. They live in Hong Kong, so it's not so far to go.

It will be wonderful - I admit that I can't wait. My daughter is looking forward to seeing Aiden's mum as they are very fond of each other. We are so lucky that we all get on well with her - she's a lovely girl.

Who are you kidding Sue, you know you can't wait to have all your children together again

You should make the most of the peace while you can Sue. It will be lovely for you to see Aiden and his mum.

I'm fine thank you, Tec.

My son is off on a field trip for the next few days. My daughter, SIL and children have gone up the coast again as my daughter has a week off work. They all come back on Thirsday which is the day my son, Aiden and Aiden's mum arrive . The lull before the storm :-)

Good Morning Sue - How's you?

I didn't yell at them, but it was obvious that I was not amused.
The thing is you are in their hands, there is nowhere else to go.

Hello Sue, I will take it easy

I am having internet problems, I can see it cutting in and out all of the time, but last time, it took me ages to get it back. If I disappear, you will know why

SueMaid Report 30 Sep 2013 21:43

Hello everyone :-)

Tec - that's dreadful. Such inefficiency and here you are left in pain with a worsening ulcer. I hope you yelled at them.

Linda - I'm pleased you are starting to feel better but don't overdo things. You still need plenty of rest.

Tecwyn Report 30 Sep 2013 21:41

Hello Linda,
Glad that you feel well enough to be up and about, but be careful not to over do it. You've had a nasty infection, and still need plenty of rest, though it will do your morale good to be up.

The swab the nurse will do on Wednesday will go by courier to the path lab, so maybe the result will be available Thursday.
I really struggled to get along the corridor to the nurses station today, and that is why they are coming to the house on Wednesday.
I cannot believe how inept these people are at times, it beggers belief.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 30 Sep 2013 21:25

Oh goodness Tec, that is appalling, no wonder you are in so much pain. It is disgraceful that they didn't contact you and have left you all this time. Make sure that you know when the results should be back and phone up to make sure they are

I have been up since lunch time and even did some dusting, though it whacked me out. I am feeling better today though

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 30 Sep 2013 20:57

I went to the hospital this afternoon - what a waste of time that was. The two ulcers have become one, now about the size of the palm of my hand, and quite deep.
Apparently the swab I had taken last Monday afternoon didn't get to the path lab until the following day, so were useless. Thus they have no idea what the nature of the infection is.
Now a nurse is to visit me at home on Wednesday 8-30 am to take another swab.
It annoys me somewhat that they didn't contact me last week to say the swab was no use - now another week has passed, and meanwhile things get worse.
Rant over - sorry.

Linda I hope you have had a better day today - sitting up and taking notice :-D

Hello Mersey, nice to see you popping in.

Good job I checked the last sentence as it changed Mersey into Nerdy :-(

I hope they can think of something to help you TEC, maybe fitted a roller skate so you can scoot along

I was going to reply to you Persie, only I can't remember what you posted :-(

I spent the morning reading , then actually got up,showered and dressed just before lunchtime. I have only been up for an hour and am ready for a nap again :-(

Tecwyn Report 30 Sep 2013 12:23

Good Morning/Evening,

No one should phone me before 10 am unless someone has actually died.

I had a phone at 9-15am the other day from a well known double glazing firm that had done work for me previously. They were looking for more work. Then I had another call from them at 11am the following day, and ANOTHER call during the afternoon of the same day. The unfortunate soul that phoned me the third time in two days would have regretted making the call as I lost my cool and burned his ears off in a manner he wouldn't forget in a hurry.

Persie, maybe August now has aspirations to become a pilot, which would be very useful to you on your trips later on - you never know.

Hello Berona, Unfortunately my leg is no better, and I finished my antibiotics yesterday. I am going to the hospital today to have it dressed, but I can't see what more can be done. So I shall continue to hop around the place making un-Christian remarks about the medical profession. I am taking the maximum dose of two strong pain killers every day, but they only seem to work for a short time, so I watch the clock till it's time to take the next lot.
If I were a horse they would shoot me
:-D

Hello Mersey - you are more than welcome <3

Hello Linda - sleeping won't do you any harm. As long as you are feeling better<3

Persie - my OH is very short on the phone when it's someone selling or wanting to do a survey etc. <3 just because.

Hello Mersey... xx

Linda some people do ring at inconsiderate times. I can understand your consternation at 9.30am...

OH answered the phone during a particular program he was watching the other night.. someone selling Learning Programes... then they asked how has your day been? He said been good up until this stupid phone call.

I was sitting around the corner on my laptop thinking uh oh... They must be selling something.or wanting to fix his computer.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 30 Sep 2013 10:06

Oh dear that should have been sleeping around the clock Persie.

I was trying to join in from my sick bed by typing on my tablet, the one with the crazy predictive text which happily alters all the nice words you have typed without telling you.

I was rudely awoken this morning at 9.30am by the telephone, some people have no consideration, fancy ringing in the middle of the night like that :-D. I have come to the main computer and am having breakfast while I type to you. My intention is to get up today, but my eyes are drooping and all I want to do is to go back to sleep again, it has to be the antibiotics. Apart from the sleeping sickness, I am starting to feel better, I don't need to take paracetamol any more to keep my temperature down. I hate the feeling when you are huddled under a pile of bed clothes, shaking because you feel so cold, but you know you can't be because you have a raging temperature and are burning up.

Oh Amanda, you are going to be so worried until the new twins are safely here, but I am sure they will look after her given her previous history

Persephone

Persephone Report 30 Sep 2013 08:58

Oh Amanda, I do hope things go okay for her.. having twins can be exciting as well as daunting and I can understand her will I or won't I.. that is not an easy decision to reach and Doctors conflicting opinions can't be helping.

As Berona says they will be monitoring her quite closely. And you my dear grandmother are going to be fidgety as hell... but all you can do is be supportive and let the rest of your entourage of grandchildren and chickens distract you.

I will be thinking of you but most of all I will be thinking of her. She does have a lovely family already and to add two more is quite something.

I am also looking for a very good improvement report from you Tec.. Glad you liked August's hair cut pics and his aversion to capes. He has now been sitting in the pilots seat of a small plane after going to a movie at Bunnings (Aussie and NZ's DIY store) on flight.

I am not sure what antibiotic Linda is on but it does cause all sorts of funny goings on.. they must be good though as they can keep you doing something around the clock...

Berona Report 30 Sep 2013 08:35

Hello everyone. Tec - hope you were able to sleep last night? Any sign of improvement with the new antibiotics?
Amanda - does your daughter have problems during her pregnancies, or giving birth? I'm sure the doctors will watch her and be prepared this time when they know what has happened previously.
Very warm here to-day. Over 30c. and warmer forecast for tomorrow.
