Sue it must have been lovely to have all your family about you, and to have photo's of the occasion for the album.
As I said, I too like my things about me.
When you look at pictures of Victorian living rooms they were truly cluttered.

I certainly do not have a minimalist home. We have been slowly decluttering for awhile especially the spare bedroom. Having a built in wardrobe put in forced us to get rid of years of rubbish. However I like my "things" around me - all of them have memories.

We are sad but we had a wonderful day yesterday with all our family together. My brother took some wonderful photos - I can't believe what a tribe we have :-D

Don't worry, I have spread a stinger across the thread, that will puncture Mersey's tyres and slow her down

I think if you have things tucked away out of sight in cupboards that never see the light of day, then no, you don't need them, and might as well get rid of them.

I also have clothes that I can't remember when I last wore them - they might as well go too.

I wouldn't like to be minimalist Tec, I like to be comfortable with plenty of ornaments and pictures, it just tends to build up a bit. Plus if you have lots of things in cupboards, but never touch them ,then do you really need them
