Hi Persie, I got your funny :-D

OH is off playing softball this week in the Masters. He rang me earlier to say they won their first two games. They are watching the Rugby tonight, he is with all his Kiwi mates, so they will keep an eye on him.

:-)

I'll leave my de cluttering for my retirement. I went into a top cupboard earlier today looking for something and nearly choked on the dust, disgusting I know :-0

Ive just been on ebay and bought a new purse. The one I'm currently using I'm having trouble with the card slots that are too tight and its driving me mad.

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago of a sweet sounding bird in my garden. This morning I got my first actual glimpse of him, I'm still in the dark as to what he is, but his bird song is a delight. I shall have a look around on the internet to see if I can spot one :-)

Tec, I hope this week brings some positive news in regards to your poor leg and you. How is the Duchess?

Sending special hugs to Amanda and Diane, also Linda as I read you have been unwell as well <3 <3 <3

Carole :-)

Hello Berona - I miss you <3 Yes we really enjoyed having the family all together. It's been so quiet today :-(

Beautiful day to-day with a top of 31 here. Cooled down since sundown, and forecast for a drop to 22 tomorrow.
Big day with habour celebrations, warships and the old tall ships. Also, the teenie-boppers were out in force last night to see One Direction and topped off this evening with the Rugby League grand final - now still playing.
Monday is a public holiday - labour day.
Hope all are well - and thinking of the new babies. Are they progressing?
Sue - it must have been great having the family all together. I'm sure you really enjoyed yourself.
Tec - please take care of the leg. Hope the antibiotics and painkillers have kicked in by now.

I had a brandy and dry when I went out to lunch t'other day.. had not had one in ages. It was very refreshing.. they obviously took one look at me and put it in a tall glass with lots of ginger ale.

They thought not having her rolling around... she is bound to fall off the back of Mersey's scooter.

We are slowly decluttering.. he has stacks of magazines as do I, but I think I am doing a better job of whittling (can you whittle magazines) mine down.... plus we still have a lot of my daughter's stuff here.

I wear a lot of her clothes hardly bought anything new over the years since she went overseas and came back and didn't want them. But I can do without a lot of her books and papers from studying etc.

We had to clear out an Uncle and Aunt's (Of OH) place and make sure everyone got what she had listed for them which was no mean feat... then we did his parent's place and brought it to Auckland and stored it at my father's. OH's sister came up from South Island and took most of it. Then we had to do my parent's place.

One thing we have a lot of is old tools... but we did chuck out my father's calendars the ones he kept on a nail in the garage that started at 1967 when he moved there until 1995 when he went into the rest home.

Persie :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

I am off to bed as well, so goodnight everyone

SueMaid Report 5 Oct 2013 23:14

OH bought some wine and beer for yesterday's bbq and there is still some of it left. The men only had a couple of beers each and my daughter was driving so she only had one all afternoon. Aiden's mum rarely drinks. It was funny because they all had their water bottles handy and even the children went into the kitchen for water quite often.

Enjoy your day Sue, and Allan,

I have been known to enjoy a G&T on occasion, but apart from that don't drink these days.

Allan

Allan Report 5 Oct 2013 23:05

I enjoy a red, Tec, but only at home. These days, when I go out I tend to stick with water.

Boring, but safe :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 5 Oct 2013 23:03

Allan I couldn't get by on one cup of coffee a day. I need a "fix" at least every two hours.
What else do you drink - alcohol> :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 5 Oct 2013 22:59

It doesn't make a lot of difference at the moment Tec - it's a little easier. It changes again when you change your clocks back.

Allan

Allan Report 5 Oct 2013 22:59

Thanks Tec. I enjoy a nice cup of coffee in the morning :-D

Strange, but true; I only have one cup of coffee per day, and that is my early morning one!
