Hello Sue, I do hope Aimee isn't too poorly, a grandma cwtch will work wonders :-)

Huia - Teeth are a menace from beginning to end.

Mersey I'd like a go on your space hopper :-D and I could ride around the hills here on your BMX - BUT NOT IF IT'S PINK.

Hello Linda - There's an awful lot of coffee in Brazil :-D

SueMaid Report 8 Oct 2013 21:57

Ouch, Huia - both for the work and the hit on the pocket :-(

I will NOT be riding around on your BMX bike, Mersey - sounds like fun but not for me :-0 :-D

I have had a sick little girl delivered this morning. Aimee seems to have a stomach bug :-(

Drew's dental work is going to be very expensive but they are covered by private insurance so it will be much easier on the pocket.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 8 Oct 2013 19:55

That sounds expensive Huia

We have the NHS here, but I think you still have to have pay towards the treatment. I have a monthly insurance policy which pays for my private dental treatment

Huia

Huia Report 8 Oct 2013 19:51

I am going to have a tooth removed in a bit over 2 hours :-( but to get it refilled would cost $180 and as I had it filled just 2 or 3 months ago the cost of removing it (about $250) is less than 2 more fillings and more permanent. And then I will have 2 teeth added to my partial top plate, the 2nd one being where I have had a big gap on the other side for a long time. It will balance things up. Unfortunately that is going to cost $200 per tooth, but at least they wont need redoing.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 8 Oct 2013 19:41

Oh I think the honour of riding with you should go to Sue as she is daft enough - err as it is her thread :-D

Hello Emma, good to see you

I have horrors of being put under at the dentist, do you remember those awful rubber masks they used to put over your face to give you the gas -shudders :-( :-( :-( :-(

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 8 Oct 2013 09:57

Hello Emma - it's always good to see you. Hope you and yours are all well <3

I think that was the idea of putting him under to do the work - no more trauma at the dentist. It was a good experience this morning with a much more sensitive dentist - worth going to Sydney for.

Haven't popped in for ages to chat but do read how you all are.

Stay well and best wishes to all <3

Oh poor little boy, I hope that it doesn't put him off dentists, he hasn't had a very good start with them

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 8 Oct 2013 09:36

Hello Sylvia and Linda :-)

Are you relaxing after your busy time, Sylvia?

Linda - Drew was brilliant but the dentist wants to put him under to do some work on his tooth, clean his teeth and sort out one of his permanent molars. I spoke to his mum and she agreed that may be the best way. So he goes into day surgery for a couple of hours next Monday :-(

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 8 Oct 2013 09:24

Hello Sylvia,

It has been unseasonably warm here, about twenty degrees every day, but that is due to change by the end of the week. The winds are going to reverse and instead of coming up from the south, they are going to come down from the Arctic. So the nice yellow colours on the weather chart are going to disappear and the whole country will turn blue, with the temperatures halving overnight.

I hope Drew was fine at the dentists Sue

Hi Sue, and everyone

we are beginning to hear the "s" word now .................. warnings for the high mountain passes.

But also. w had a lot of heavy rain last week here in town. When the weather cleared on Thursday, it was easy to see that the "rain" had fallen as snow on the mountain tops on the other side of the harbour.

Pretty to look at, but ..................................................

Tec .............. I do hope that the Oromorph gives you some pain relief, and that Social Services can work out some way for you to get bed rest. xxxx

take care everyone

Bye Sue, I am off to sleep as well

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 7 Oct 2013 23:06

We went to Skegness and Southend on our last trip. Those game arcades sure take up a lot of money :-D

Goodnight Tec - hope you manage to get some sleep.

I must be off too - we need to get ready for this trip to Sydney. Thankfully it's in the southern suburbs so should only take an hour to get there.

Goodnight Linda - sleep well
<3

Enjoy your day Allan and sleep well Mersey <3
