Good Morning Sue,

Gosh - that sounds hot - it is turning cooler here, the wind has swung round from the South to the North. Tomorrow is forecast cold but bright.

I did get a good sleep last night, best for ages. The morphine is working quite well, but the nurse phoned today and is asking the doctor to increase it.
It is hard to keep awake as it is, so if I take more I'll be practiclay comatosed

Spelling mistakes may be due to the fact that I can hardly read the text :-S

We are in for a very hot day today - 38C is forecast and windy:-0. I've moved some pots into the laundry as they will dry out quickly in the hot wind.

Something has happened to my GR screen - it has shrunk to a third of it's normal size, and I can barely see the text or what I'm typing.
Bt changed their homepage today, and that is the same, so It may be their fault. Very annoying whatever it is - I need a magnifying glass to read this :-0

Hmm, very daring of you Mersey, but as you are now dangling in mid air showing your bloomers to the world, how are you proposing to get down :-S

I will have missed the upside down people because I had to go out early as OH had a check up at the eye hospital and he can't drive if they decide to put drops in

Today (Tuesday) was the "putting to rest" of our friend who died a couple of months ago

ie, burying the urn containing his ashes.

It has taken time to organise, because the widow wanted them to go into the ground in the Garden where we all worked.

It went really well. The weather was beautiful and sunny. The spot chosen was in a quiet but accessible area, and everything was ready to pop the container into the ground. There were 6 of us, plus the Director and Assistant Director, and we all took turns in putting some soil back into the ground.

A few tears by the widow, but I think she is doing as well as can be expected.

We are going to stay with her for Christmas, and hope to also get over there in the next 4 or 5 weeks, just for a couple of days.

One of the long time friends, who had moved up north 35 years ago, arrived rather unexpectedly this weekend, so he was able to attend.


I'm very tired now!

OH had to see the dermatologist in the morning before the putting to rest ................. and ended up having whatever-it-is on the tip of his ear scraped off :-0

By dinner time, I noticed red marks on his shirt and cardi :-(

so now we're trying to stem the seeping flow.

It should scab over in 2 or 3 days.

He SAYS it did not and does not hurt
