Glad to hear that all is over

It is such a shame when this happens.

I wish your daughter all the best as she recovers. xxxxxx

Hello people , thank you for all the kind thoughts regarding my daughter .
She phoned me at 5pm , very tearful , she used the expression " born sleeping " ( which I think is quite appropriate ) , she personally could not bear to see them but her friend who was with her looked and said they where beautiful , one much larger than the other , she thinks they where boys . My daughter is being kept in the hospital overnight as a precationary measure .
I can heave a huge sigh of relief ( at last ) .

At least I only post once TEC

It was hold down the control and move the scroll wheel in the middle of the mouse. That does the same as the plus and minus.

Tecwyn Report 11 Oct 2013 15:17

Mersey - You are a genius :-D thankyou.

I pressed ctrl and the plus sign - the text leapt out of my laptop nearly knocking me off the sofa :-D I think I overdid it, so reduced the text with the minus sign.
Now all is perfect, and normal service resumed.

Linda I gather by the strange message you sent me, that you meant the same thing :- that weird gadget of yours has a mind of its own :-D
Tell Grandad not to make so much noise tomorrow morning.

Hell o Berona - Hope you are not wearing yourself out trying to keep up with watering the pots. It is a lovely sunny Autumn day here. I am frustrated that there is so much to do in the garden but I can't do it. Never mind, it will keep.
There is no improvement in the leg ulcers yet. They are trying to find something that actually works - we live in hope :-(

Sylvia - The morphine is working, not enough to kill the pain, but enough to stop me climbing the walls most of the time.
The nurse is bringing me the morphine in tablet form today. Apparently stronger than the liquid form I've been on.
As I am already floating, no one will get any sense out of me now. So what's new?

I am expecting my daughter later today, or in the morning. She is going to do a big shop as I can't go to the supermarket at the moment.

Persie - How are you today? Hope you are feeling better after your op, and welcome to the morphine club - good stuff innit.

Thoughts with your daughter, and you today Amanda <3

I am thinking of your daughter today Amanda, I hope all goes well

TEC, hold down control and scroll the housewares at the sometimes to increase the font,or does the plus

Grandad managed to wake Eve up at 6.30am when he went to the loo, so we have been playing since then :-(

Berona

Berona Report 11 Oct 2013 10:58

Good evening from me on a day which was much better than yesterday's 38c. Today was 24 and tomorrow should be 26 - more like Spring - but I believe higher temps are on their way.

My thoughts are with you all - particularly with Tec (is the leg showing any signs of getting better?).... also Amanda - (Hope your daughter gets over it all soon) and, o course, Linda - with little Esme. I hope, too that our other baby is progressing as hoped. Is he?

Greetings to all the crew - won't even try to name them because my memory is shocking lately and I would surely forget some.. Have a nice day - or sleep well.

Hi Sue, and everyone

Hi Chris ............... I'm the Canadian connection! We lived in Melbourne for 10 months in the mid-70s, and I have rellies in, I think, every state.

We've been to both OZ and NZ several times ............. but Tas is the one state that we have not yet been to. There's still hope!!

Persie ............ I hope you feel much better tomorrow. xxxxx

Tec ................. I'm glad that the morphine is working its magic for you. BUT, are the ulcers also getting any better?????????

Amanda ............. best wishes to your daughter. I hope all will go well for her.

Linda ............. it sounds as though Esme is improving, in spite of the difficulties in feeding. It's nice that she will settle with your OH. My grandson will happily go for walks with my OH, but doesn't really want to cuddle, or even hold hands with him. I feel quite sorry for him at times :-(

Mersey ............ it's nice to see someone who is even loopier than I am. I do try to be sensible on here ....................... I'm afraid of what you all might do if you realised how loopy I really was :-D :-D :-D

I was at the docs today ......... it seems that they are happy to leave my bp medications as they are at the moment, my "poo" test was OK, but they want to do a punch biopsy on a thingy on my shin, "just to be sure" :-(. So I have to go again next week to have that done :-( :-(

The weather is quite beautiful here ..................... it has been really sunny for the last 3 days, cool (ca 10-15C in the daytime, and getting down to around 6 or 7C overnight.

I have 2 Jade plants that spend the summer out on my sundeck, but they spend the colder months on a large windowsill in the basement. I had OH bring them in late on Wednesday night when I realised it might get as low as 5C. I hope I hadn't left them out there too late in the month!

It is Canadian Thanksgiving on Monday ................ we will be just the 2 of us this year, but have ordered a turkey breast from the butcher.

Take care everyone

xx

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 10 Oct 2013 22:55

It must be something in the settings, Tec but I don't know what.

I must be off now. I have to go out soon as my signature is apparently required on a document for the organisation. I need to read it because I'm not sure what it is. I could be out all morning :-(

Hope you sleep well tonight, Tec <3

Don't tire yourself out with the girls, Linda <3

Goodnight Mersey <3

I can't help you with that, Tec - perhaps Linda can or your daughter when she visits on Saturday.

This GR site is still "shrunk" and the text so small it's irritating - I don't know how to get it back to proper size. :-|

Hi Linda - I think Mersey will lead us all astray :-D

At least in Weipa my son will have air conditioning in his quarters unlike East Timor.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 10 Oct 2013 22:34

Hello Linda - Will you be up early in the morning :-D

Sue I hope your son can cope with the heat and humidity, although after East Timor he should be used to it
Good you had a chat with Aiden after his visit

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 10 Oct 2013 22:28

My son from Hobart is now in North Queensland. He said its very humid as its the wet season. I also spoke th Aiden's mum the other day and of course Aiden had to have a chat too :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 10 Oct 2013 22:28

Yes Sue - floating with the fairies is a happy state to be in.

Good thing is that the pain I was in is now at least tolerable, and I'm sleeping better.
My daughter is coming on Saturday to go shopping for us, as it would not be a good idea to drive at the moment

My emoticons have disappeard
