Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 16 Oct 2013 22:24

Hello Jemima - I will phone them first thing in the morning.

Hello Allan, I know about pulmonary embolisms too - I had one following a DVT a few years ago - very nasty, and very dangerous too.

Sue I hope that you both have a lovely day out today, in the sunshine :-)

Hello Jem :-)

I'm off out for the day with my brother and SIL - the weather looks good although it will be hot.

Thank you Sue,

Just another aggravation to deal with. I hope they can sort me out, as I can't go on like this.

Allan

Allan Report 16 Oct 2013 22:16

Hi Jemima, I'll be over (On the other board :-D :-D) soon

Tec if you suspect a DVT get it checked out as soon as possible: a few years ago I had an undiagnosed one and ended up with a pulmonary embolism that nearly took me to an early grave :-0

Hello Everyone,

Thanks again for all your kind messages.

The saga may not be over, and not wishing to be alarmist, but I now think I may have another DVT.
All the symptoms are right, and having had two in the past I am familiar with the signs.
I can't put my foot on the floor, and the pain in my calf is something else.
The nurse is due here tomorrow, but doesn't get here till 5pm on her way home.
Therefore I shall phone them early in the morning to get someone out as soon as possible during the day.
If it is a DVT then I will have to go into hospital to go on a heparin drip (anticoagulant) for a few days.
I've spoken to my daughter this evening, and if I have to go in, then she will leave work and get here as soon as possible.
I hate to do that to her, but as the Duchess cannot be left, it's the only solution.

At least if I disappear off the radar, you will know where I am.

Hello everyone - hope you are all smiling today.

Phew.....we have all been concerned Tec. So good to see you <3

Sylvia - hope the biopsy goes well. Take care.

Allan - my son bought a small CD player which cost him $40. It stopped working six months later and after the hassle he had getting it fixed he said he should have just cut his loss and bought a new one.

Hi Allan
Fancy meeting you here! :-D :-D :-D

Allan

Allan Report 16 Oct 2013 21:55

hi Everyone, but especially Tec :-D

It's good to hear fro you Tec, you had us all worried there for a time :-D :-D

Our microwave has had to go to the Microwave hospital :-( OH asked on Tuesday whether I had cleaned it during the time she was away, to which I replied yes. She suggested that I look inside and I noticed that under the runner which carries the plate, the white surface was lifting.

I thought that it was just a scuff mark and went to buff it off when the surface started to peel off. The warranty was for two years and we bought it two and a half years ago, but when OH phone the manufacturers she found that the actual case has a ten year warranty. The manufacturers contacted a local repair agency and OH took the oven in yesterday.

The joke is that it only cost us $90.00 to buy in the first place! :-D
