I've just been reading about the bush fires .......... worst in at least a decade I hear.

OH got a phone call from our GP's office today re the biopsy results on hsi ear.

He has an appointment for 9:20 am tomorrow morning (Friday).

They only call if a result is positive :-(


I still have the dressing on my leg, but it seems to have stopped bleeding or weeping. I can change the dressing on tomorrow (Friday) afternoon

Glad to hear that you are not in any danger. I was watching it on the news this morning. It's terrible for the people caught up in it- losing their properties or even worse. And the poor animals! :-(

Over in the West we are the opposite at the moment. Normally our temps (in the South west) are usually on the climb, but we are still having wintery showers.

So much so that a large dam constructed 11years ago by the water Corp has just overflowed for the very first time

Hello all. Glad to know that Tec is going to hospital for attention. I hope he SCREAMS at them!

Yes, I can smell the smoke here from the Blue Mountains, where they have not yet counted, but estimate that more than 100 homes have been lost. Still no word on any people unaccounted for, and not to mention the livestock, pets and wildlife. By yesterday afternoon, we could not see the sun for the smoke haze - but that was to our advantage, as it kept the temperature down. The wind was strong and seems to have dropped now and with a temp of only 22 forecast, we have hopes of the fire-fighters getting the fires under control. Where I live is all streets and buildings, so we are not at risk of bushfires at any time. It's still very strange weather for Spring. One day we have a temp of 36, the next it's 21. Very mercurial! and those high temps should not happen until January - so not looking forward to January!

Sue and Berona, even if you are not in close proximity to the fires, the smoke etc can still be a hazard.

Thank you Linda for the update on Tec, please add me to the list of well wishes for them both and I hope as well as sorting out the DVT they are able to do more for him concerning his ulcer's as all the time he hasn't been able to get around the way he normally doe's may have been a reason for the cause of the DVT.
I just knew you not being on here was probably down to another bug picked up after your visit to your daughter's :-( I hope you soon recover from it <3

My littlest Granddaughter was here earlier. In the summer I made a load of fairies from card with pictures from the internet stuck on.I hung them from the hedge and convinced her they were real. She wanted to know if they were still there! :-D :-D
