Linda thank's again for the up-date on our lovely Tec, glad to see that the Duchess was able to visit him today, sound's like they have got him on some strong med's ( about bloody time ) I just can't understand why they let his ulcers get so bad, I hope now thing's will start to improve for him <

Sue, I totally agree. The only disagreement that I have with you is that she is worth billions not millions.

It was her brilliant comment that Australian workers should work for the same wages as third world workers so that Australian goods can be produced in Australia for the same cost as in Bangladesh! :-|

Allan - Ms Reinhardt is a very tough woman. She is worth millions but will feud with her own children for control over their share. I have no time for people like her. No amount of money will stop her dying a bitter, lonely woman :-( Harsh I know but I dislike reading anything in the news about her :-|

it was her father, Lang Hancock, who discovered the vast iron ore deposits in the Pilbara area. Just recently she took Lang's mining partner to Court over royalties....she lost and had to repay millions :-D

Hello all. Yes, Allan, I too, caught the sense of humour in Tec's message.
Hope they keep throwing everything at him until he improves and recovers.

The smell of smoke comes and goes here. It depends on which way the wind is blowing. High winds and high temps are expected to-day, so not looking forward to it. No. the state of emergency does not apply to Sydney itself. However, the last of the residential areas in the north, west and south, are at risk. The Blue Mountains are straight out west. The last of the 'suburbs' is Springwood and then begins the slow climb through bushland, up the mountains, where there is a municipality, again a residential area. This is at risk and the fires have come the other way and are threatening Springwood. It's always the outlying residential areas which are at risk.
Well, I must away and soak my plants whilst it is still very pleasant outside. We are expecting 37 here to-day. (32 yesterday). Another good day for staying indoors.

Have you got a time machine Sue- You managed to get to Wales and back again in 3 minutes! :-D
