Great news about Tec's escape plan- we can plant Mersey the other side of the tunnel in her little pink helicopter- or better still her super-jet to bring him home :-D

This morning, I passed on Sue's message about her arriving safely and described the scene from her balcony.

He said that he was watching the trees swaying too, only he wasn't in Bali with Sue.

This afternoon, I told him, I was roasting a leg of lamb and it reminded me of him (he likes cooking roast lamb). I also asked him if he has finished digging the escape tunnel ready for tomorrow.

He replied
"I am also thinking your leg of lamb, having just had incinerated potato with cold baked beans . Ugh."
He didn't say if the tunnel was ready

Yes, you haven't been at all well for a while. You need a tonic of some kind methinks!

It's great that you have been able to do a matching cushion for your curtain. I bet it looks lovely with the new carpet too.

I feel like I have been bringing up children forever! Firstly I had to do quite a lot with my half-sister and half- brother, then my own daughter and now Grandson 1 plus continuous Grandchildren visiting! I love it really (especially the visits- as they go home again) but it's hard dealing with a teenager sometimes when you are getting older!

Oh- Then there was the pictures night!!! :-|
Unbeknownst to me (but not to OH apparently) My Grandson and his friends were going to see a 15 film. Now at least one of them (my Grandson's best friend) was 15, but my Grandson is still only 14, as are a couple of the other friends. Grandson is not 15 until toward the end of the school year . The 15 year old bought the tickets for all the boys, using his bank card through a machine. This however did not get them in, as they still wanted ID. So they all ended up walking a couple of miles to KFC and having food there instead, and then to McDonalds for icecream! :-0 :-| :-S :-D

As I said- it's wearing me out! Just as well I love him intit! :-D

I have had enough sewing for today thanks Jem. i don't really like doing it, but can manage curtains etc.

I finished the door curtain and it is up. I am very pleased with it, there were so many different rolls to choose from, but this one looks good. OH over measured the length and the women who cut the roll, seems to have been on the generous side, so there was enough to make a cushion cover as well

I have tidied up and done a spot of dusting. I can't wait to give the house a good clean. I have been ill for most of the last month,so it is not up to my exacting standards, though OH can never see anything wrong with it.

I am glad I am past the stage of having to worry about teenagers coming in, looking worse for wear.

If you are short of some sewing to do while watching TV Linda- I'll get Mersey to whizz some over to you in her pink glittery helicopter! :-D

We have had gale force winds and torrential rain since yesterday. I had to go out in it earlier, after having washed and styled my hair! Absolutely stupid! My hair caught a tremendous downpour accompanied by sweeping wind and I looked like something out of a horror film! :-0 :-| :-S :-D

Granddaughter 1 is here looking worse for wear after a late night at a youngsters disco! Haven't seen what Granddaughter 2 looks like- she went as well! :-S

Why is it that half the electronic devices which are supposed to update the time themselves, don't. Never mind, I have done them all now.

I am going sewing now. Having redecorated the hall, I needed to make a new curtain to cover the door on an evening.
I got the material yesterday and made the curtain, but needed to hang it up so I could mark the exact length and hand sew the bottom. It was at that point that OH decided that he would gloss the back of the door after all, having previously declared that it didn't need doing. :-(
That meant i couldn't hang the curtain up to mark the length. I could have had the thing finished while I was watching TV last night.

Linda thank you for up date on our lovely Tec, I hope when he get's home that he and the Duchess will receive all the help they need, my main concern would be how he would manage if the Duchess had a hypo and how he would manage on his own. How is your cough today ?
