Guess what? I'm home back in my cave at last. :-)

I have been at my daughters for two days, but there is no signal there to send even text on my mobile.
Thank you everyone for your kind messages that Linda kindly relayed to me on her mobile.
So glad to be home again after the past 12 days. I am still on the strong antibiotics that I was having by IV drip. Now in capsule form so that I could come home. Also quite a heavy twice daily dose of morphine by capsule, and some in liquid form for a quick shot when required, which means when I'm climbing the walls. :-D
The infection in the leg ulcers sparked off cellulitis and fleabitis sp. The swelling and heat in my leg has improved a lot, but still in a lot of pain when I move.
They swopped the zimmer for elbow crutches. They are nowhere near as good for balance. Anyway I have to use them to get from one room to another.
I have to go back in two weeks for a meeting with the Vascular Surgeon. After the result of the MRI scan he wants to do an arterial bypass. I am not happy about that, and need to know a lot more, but if it is the only way ahead then so be it.

So - here I am at home. My daughter is staying till at least Sunday to see how we cope.
I survived the hospital food, and the constant rantings and foul language of the poor lady in the next room, so you can appreciate how wonderful it is to be back where I belong.On

a very sad note, Taffy had to be put to sleep while I was away.

We had a quiet relaxing day yesterday only leaving the pool area to have lunch at one of the restaurants in the area. The food is so ridiculously cheap and delicious. In the evening we went to a traditional Balinese dance performance. The costumes were magnificent.

I have just got back from cinema duty, it is a really cold night out there

I sent Tec a text this afternoon, but I haven't heard anything back

glad to hear you had a nice birthday and some lovely flower's to keep the memory of the day going for a while. Don't worry about being a year older your still the same lovely person no matter how old you are :-)
The weather here in Liverpool hasn't been as bad as down south of the UK but todays paper said we are in for more of the same ( I hope they are wrong ) I also heard we are to get our first snow next month which will be unusually early if we do :-( I hope the fire's are dying down in Oz .

Thank you to all who sent me birthday wishes, both here and on FB. I did have a very nice day and have some lovely flowers to keep the memory of it going. Only downside to it is that I'm now another year older!

Good to know Tec and his duchess are both being cared for and I hope you others are soon rid of your coughs and colds. I've seen the results of your storms on TV - not good at all!! Hope you don't get any more weather like that.

Hello Amanda,I hope OH is able to sucure the shed as I read the front page of the Liverpool Echo while I was in the shop under my flat ( don't buy paper's ) and it said we have more of the bad wind and rain to come :-(

Linda the " new fangled " shed was not my choice but I must admit it is my prefered shed , far less creepy and spider ridden than the old wooden one . OH is going to make a bracket or something to secure the shed to the ground in a firmer way .

Diane , I hope your cough isn't being to much of a bother to you .

I hope Tec had a better nights rest last night . It is never easy to sleep in a hospital .

Linda , thank you for keeping us all updated about Tec , it is fantastic to know he has his order of release , I expect his daughter will be very happy to have her parents under her care , it will be less of a worry for her .

The storm got to us around 8.30 am . A few trees went down in the area but nothing to awful , just minor damage .
One of our sheds on the allotment had attempted to lift off ( the metal shed that was a bother to put up ! ) , it had lifted two of the slabs it is anchored to and the doors had blow inwards , so it must have caught quite a gust .
The chickens are okay and seemed unfazed .
