Hello Everyone,

I haven't read back, so hope everyone is well, and now I am off to bed as I'm rather tired.

Just wanted to say that Shaun from the Welsh thread sent me a booklet today compiled from all the lovely kind messages that had been sent to me from both the Aussie and Welsh threads.
I am deeply touched by everyone's kindness and thoughtfulness, and had no idea so many people know me.
It is so heartening, especially when the chips are down, to know that people care enough to send a kind message - thank you so much <3

Linda your daughters Halloween display sound's really good, please try and put up some photo's when you can on FB as I would love to see them :-)

Mersey did you do anything special tonight, we don't get trick or treater's because of being in a flat, but most years ( but not this one thankfully ) being on the end of the block we get bedroom window's egged :-(

We don't get any, but that is not surprising as there are no small children round here any more. There used to be some,so we had things for them, but they are all grown up now

We are all grouchy now, so we turn all the outside lights off and as the house is set back everything is pitch black, we don't have street lights either

I know, I only had a few here but they where with the Mums all dressed up too, it made me smile bless them their eyes lit up !!! :-D

My daughter took her round the block and she came back with lots of sweets.That was a novelty because she isn't allowed sweets normally

It seems to be a very big thing down there. I was surprised last year at how many little children there were. All dressed up and accompanied by parents who were dressed up as well

Sorry Mersey, I was just talking to Eve, who has had a lovely time at "Happy Halloween"

Last year, we were down there, so I went to the pound shop and bought lots of decorations for their windows. it looked very good. So this year her parents really went to town with the decorations. They have a gate and quite a long path which goes to the door half way down the side of the house, there is a large fence,so the path is rather tunnel like. They bought some polystyrene tombstones from Ebay and lots of strings of battery operated Halloween lights. They even got a smoke machine for £10. they put some speakers in the garden and found an hour's worth of spooky Halloween music on U tube.

With all the rest of the decorations and the pumpkins, the whole thing looked excellent, they put a video on Facebook. They are already planning to make it even better for next year. Apparently lots of people who came gave it the accolade of "sick", a high form of praise apparently

I said we will have to make sure we go down again next year because we are missing the big firework display as well

Welcome home Tec, its lovely to see you back :-) You have been missed very much <3 I am glad to read your daughter will be there to help you and the Duchess settle back in :-)
I am so sorry to read about Taffy, awww how sad. I do hope your neighbor gets another rescue dog.

My daughter came home for a couple of days last week and she noticed how slow Honey is becoming, and also how deaf she has become, nothing wrong with her sense of smell lol and still rushes when she knows there is going to be food on offer :-D

I was sorry to hear that Taffy had suddenly got worse while you were awya. You, and his owner, will miss him. xxxx




we are at the end of our good weather ......... 3 weeks of no rain, although there was a lot of fog! ...................... now the rain started about an hour ago :-(


I have to go to the doctor tomorrow afternoon (Thursday) ............. result of the biopsy, plus my flu shot.


I'm not that worried about the biopsy ............. they haven't phoned me to get into the office ASAP, which is what they do if there has been a positive result

sorry to hear the sad new's about Taffy, he will be sadly missed by his owner, you and the Duchess :-(

I wish I hadn't gone near the dentist today as I am in a lot of pain after treatment preparing my tooth for another crown after the other one fell out, if I am still in pain tomorrow I will ring the dentist and ask him to take the Bl......dy thing out :-| it is a back tooth and I'm not bothered about losing it.
