Hi Allan. Ive been following the Weather in Perth, it is usually a 3 day forecast of our Victorian weather. still getting frosts in the morning, which are killing my young garden plants, then 30s in the afternoon. which dry them up. Hope you have a nice trip in NZ. Just got back from there. Spent around 20 years there in the Air Force.
Would like to have settled down there but too many Ozzie interests.

Hello all (sorry for such a general hello, but I'm scared of missing someone out :-))

I notice talk of the weather and over here in West Oz we have moved straight from Winter to summer. It was only a couple of weeks ago that we had to have the fire on as it was so cold during the evening. This week the daytime temps have been over 30C.

I must try to catch up with Persie and Huia. OH and I have decided to have a holiday in NZ next year. It is a coach and rail tour. Our daughter has just come back from NZ after a self-drive holiday.

The tour is in April/May

A busy year for us next year as OH's choir is singing in Esperance, which is a good day's drive from here. That is in February. We've booked in for 5 days as it is just before a public holiday

Hello Sylvia , your seasons sound as if they are the same as us in the UK . Our trees also seem to have lost there leaves quickly this year , the pathy outside my house is littered with sycamore " helicoptors ", I was showing the Grandchildren how they spin the other day .
I hope the rain eases for you soon .

Bill , your new home and garden sound delightful , I hope you soon settle in .I can't imagine parrots in trees .... lol we have pigeons that poop on our car .

Linda , I did suspect that Sue was a closet exhibitionist ....lol
I hope your baking all went well .

weather here is pretty good. just goes into the 40s.
Just about to go out and reposition my car as the wind is increasing.

Bill ..........

just seen you newest post.

I have cousins who used to live in Bendigo ................. the husband of one of them remained there after she died about 10 years ago. He's also remarried :-)

The other cousin and husband moved back to Melbourne.

It's a lovely place!

Hi Sue, and everyone

Sue ................. oh, how I would have liked to see and your OH dancing on the stage!!! :-D

Jem ........ those cakes sound wonderful ............ not that I could eat them! I just have to look .................. and dribble!

CT ........ I remember that, but I don't remember your name. Have you changed it???? Just answer Yes or No :-)

I used to take the train from Mumps Station to Manchester Central (??), and then change to the Liverpool train. Can you still do that, or a version of that??

OH makes the Christmas cake and puddings ......... he's been responsible for them since the second year we were married.

He made 3 puds last year, and we only took one over to the daughter's last Christmas. So we still have 2 in the freezer downstairs. We will take one of them to the Island fro Christmas this year.

Welcome back Bill. It seems a long time since we had talked!

We have been under a Heavy Rain Warning since yesterday evening, and ti will continue until this evening. It's pouring!!

It is not helped by the fact that the trees have lost almost all their leaves suddenly over the last few days, and people just have not been able to keep up with clearing them away. So gutters and drains are blocked!

It was like a fast running "creek" down the street gutter alongside the coffee shop this morning!

We have to go out this evening :-( I hope the rain has eased off!

take care everyone

Hi Amanda, you are quick of the block, just behind Mersey. Ive been following the weather in your neck of the woods, looks like it part of things to come. The fires here in NSW are still burning, but are contained. just burning thousands of Acres of Lush countryside and Animals. such a waste.
I'M situated in Victoria between Bendigo and Maryborough.
Ive Just moved in to a nice Brick and Tile Cottage, and just sorting out a small garden out front.
Mersey ! Cute pic, Is that you ?.

I have baked a cake today as well . My christmas cake :) when it is cool I shall wrap it up so it cam matue for a week or two .

Tec , if you look in here this evening , I hope you have had a better day . Illness is frustrating but if there is a great deal of pain to deal with it becomes exhausting . I do so wish that you are feeling some improvement soon .

Linda , I hope you are feeling better now from your recent ills .

Diane , thank you for the kind wishes . Yesterday was the first anniversery of loseing my brother . I shed a tear or two very late last night , whilst listening to Pink Floyd on the TV ( he always loved their music ) . It still doesn't seem right that he isn't here :(

Hi to the Aussie Thread Gang :-) :-)

It's Gale force winds here in my little part of South West Wales this evening. Much worse than when we had the storm warning last week :-S.:-|

I have a very high Privet Hedge- it must be about 12 foot, and an Elder-flower tree at the bottom of the garden. They are blowing wildly in the wind. Worse- there's a very high Sycamore tree in a garden back to back with me which overhangs my garden. If that comes down it will go through Grandson's bedroom window, so I'm a bit nervous about it!:-|

Granddaughter 1 has gone with Mum to buy new shoes (she's been here the whole of Half-Term) but she should be back soon. OH says she would move in here too, if we had an extra bedroom! :-D

I have been baking cakes! A Victoria Jam Sandwich Thursday and today- a highly fattening Chocolate sandwich cake with butter-cream filling, and melted chocolate with flake sprinkled into it, on the top! ;-)

I don't bake much, as I always have had to watch my weight. I lost 3 and a half stone a lot of years ago now, which I have mostly kept under control, but is sneaking up on me again at the moment- so I'd better not bake too often! :-0

Well that's my news- what about the rest of you? :-)

:-DSue- You mad party animal you!!! :-D

:-) Tec- Hope you are feeling a little bit better today.

:-)Hi~~~~~~~~~~~~~Linda, Diane, Sylvia, Carole, Amanda, Berona, Huia, Persie, Allan,Mersey, CT, I hope that's it! Sorry if I have left anyone out!
Love Jem <3
