Hi Everyone-

:-( I've just read about poor Tec. Like Mersey, it's very hard to know what to say . Just that I send love and best wishes to him and the Duchess.
I know how upsetting it is for his friends on GR also, especially for Sue and Linda- My thoughts are with you too.

Also, to those of you living near or with friends or family in the parts of Australia that are still burning- please keep safe.

Love Jem <3

I have heard from Tec, but the news is not good. The cellulitis has improved, but his ulcers are much worse, they didn't look after them while he was in the hospital.

He is is bad pain, the morphine isn't working and he can't walk at all. His daughter has been there all week, but has had to go back home to go to work. she won't be back until Saturday.

He has some walking aids which belonged to his mother including a wheel chair which he is using to get around.

I don't know how they are going to cope until the weekend, the nurse will come tomorrow, so I hope she will be able to get some help for them.

He isn't coming on the thread for the moment.

I feel so worried, I wish I could do something to be of practical help, but I can't of course

Good evening/afternoon/morning all. Takes me a while to read your posts before I say hello, then I usually find you have gone to bed whilst I was reading! .. We have had a beautiful weekend, although fires are still burning. Daughter's caravan is under threat in the Hawkesbury area, although so far, the wind has been blowing away from the caravan park and the fire fighters have been able to control it - but if the wind changes - there could be problems. People who were in the park at the weekend were evacuated out by boat yesterday. Thankfully, my family were not there - although that meant that they couldn't rescue anything which they could bring home for safety. However, they only have replaceable possession in the vans when they are not there.

After the last few days of 30 to 36c temps, to-day's is only expected to be 23 - but still no sign of rain. If anyone can send us some, it would be appreciated!

Hello all,

Is there any update on Tec?

Linda, if you do send Tec a message, please pass on my regards.

Blast (literally) After a very early spectacular lightning show, it is now being accompanied by thunder. I had hoped that the storms were passing away, but it appears they mat be approaching :-D

Of course, the noise might not be thunder, but Mersey's moped which needs a good service :-)

Hi Carole and Persie, your Observations about Maryborough drew my Attention, without mentioning Dunolly, only 22km to the North, and the source of the worlds Biggest Gold Nugget. and still surrounded by Working Gold mines. which first attracted me to this area, also so peaceful. afraid the Re-opening of the Railway station will extend the Immigrants into this area, Bendigo is still an old fashioned Gold City, sitting on about 3 Trillion Dollars of Gold.
No Tax yet on Gold income, The Residents of Dunolly Caravan Park, go out Gold fossicking daily.
Many small towns around here have impressive Railways stations, was an old time move to gain prominence as a city.

I just love all your little places like Daylesford, Kyneton, Maldon etc Carole..
Spent a wonderful morning in Halls Gap too..

And you are right about the stature of Maryborough, was there a while before I actually went out on the platform to look at the rail side of it.

Bought a nice bottle of Nectarine wine at the cafe to have with our desert later that evening.

And Tec if you are around Carole was playing/listening to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody on Facebook and mentioned you in her thoughts..

oops have to go there is a moped following me around.. :-S :-S :-S :-S ~~~~>>>-_ _ _

That was me wobbling and falling over..
