You're not going to make us sleep in the mouldy old tent again?

LindainHerriotCountry Report 8 Nov 2013 09:23

Does our bedroom look good? How nice of you to redecorate it for us. I liked the bed :-)

LindainHerriotCountry Report 8 Nov 2013 09:17

97 is a very good age, so I expect it would be a lovely celebration of the ladies life

I was shattered last night because we had two of the bedroom carpets put in yesterday. They had gone by 11am and i OH was out all day, I moved everything back by myself. One of the chests of drawers was too heavy for me to move,so I left that until he came home.

We then had to take everything out of our bedroom and take the carpet up in readiness for the fitters coming back this morning to do that one

We had to sleep in your bed last night, I thought it was horrible, far too hard, but OH liked it

Hello people .

Persie , I always knew August would be a smarty pants , with that wonderful shaped head of his that was so visable in his baby photos :)

Diane , I'm pleased your tooth is sorted and I hope it is now pain free . I'm ticking along okay thank you x

Linda , it is no wonder poor Esme won't feed in the conventional manner , if the result is pain . It is interesting that she sucks a dummy quite happily , I guess that indicates that it isn't a swallowing problem ? I do so wish they can find out the reasons very soon .
It sounds as if little Eve is working out the world around her rapidly .
Our Addison made me laugh yesterday , we where watching something on TV and a " Mummy character " was on , he knew this because she was dressed in pink . I said to him " I'm a Mummy and I don't wear pink " , he studyed me thoughtfully , then piped up " You got pink eyes " , I realised my bright pink glasses where balanced on the top of my head ...... lol clever boy .

Sue , I hope you didn't wear yourself out to much catching up with your housework .

Tec , if you look in , I hope your leg is continueing to improve and that your soon able to return to use x

~~~~ to Mersey .
LindainHerriotCountry Report 7 Nov 2013 09:20
Happy new tooth Diane I hope it is less painful now
Esme definitely learns that feeding hurts. At first she would take a little from a bottle before crying, but she stopped that. She would take some thickened milk from a spoon, but refuses to do that now. They have stopped trying that now as the speech therapist and institutionalist want to start weaning her at four months
She will suck my daughters finger, so they are going to start by having her suck food from her finger. Esme isn't daft though and I bet she soon works out it hurts, so she will refuse that. She likes sucking her dummy though, so we shall see
Eve is very smart Persie, she is currently counting down the sleeps before hanma comes to her house, it is seven at the moment. She can now manage a phone call by herself (after her mum dials). If we are not on the computer when she wants to speak to us on Skype, the phone will ring and when I answer it a little voice pipes up saying "Hanma, I need you on line"
Persephone Report 7 Nov 2013 02:40
I was wondering that as well Diane... however, let's hope they get it sorted soon.
Both your little grandchildren look lovely Linda.. Eve is really progressing and they do get ever so smart at that age. They seem to have a thirst for learning all sorts of things.
We have a bit of a smarty pants in August. Though it took him about two weeks after we had stayed at the beach unit in September for him to realise that his dad was not going to just drive him around to his Nana and Grandfather's place.
Take care all especially Tec..
Welcome back Sue..
Cheers Persie
Hello everyone :-)
Welcome back Sue you have been missed :-)
Linda Esme not feeding, could it just be as she didn't have to when she was first born she just doesn't like it, I saw a programme some time ago were a child wasn't fed by mouth for around 6mths and when the need for intravenous feed wasn't necessary the child totally refused to feed by mouth. I'm not saying this is the reason why but wondered if this was a possibility.
Sylvia the link Amanda has put up explain's about the protest in London and other's held around the world and it wasn't just Anonymous that was protesting, another main one was the People's Assembly who are backed by the TUC in britain were there too,and yes there is a media blackout about any of the protest marches that have been going on in the UK since April, there has been many protest around the UK against the Bedroom Tax ( under-occupancy charge ) Welfare cuts for the disabled, there have been mass sleep out's by the Bedroom tax protester's but none of the main paper's or the BBC have published any of this.
~~~~ to Amanda, thank you for putting up the link as it saved me time finding it, hope you are ok take care <3

Tec if you look in I hope your leg is less painfull, sending best wishes to you and the Duchess :-) <3

Hi-di-hi Persie, hope you are well <3

I am logging off as well

Amanda2003

Amanda2003 Report 6 Nov 2013 22:30

Linda , I hope that they can soon find the reason that Esme won't feed by mouth , there must be some physical cause and then once that is identified , hopefully it can be rectified .
She is a bonny little babe judgeing from the photos x

I guess you are all in a state about wanting them to find something so can be treated and worried about what they may find.

I must be off now and get some stuff done. There is still some unpacking to do :-(

Goodnight Up Toppers and enjoy the day Down Underers <3 <3
