Linda, thanks for the update on Tec.....very good news. Please let him know that if he does need to escape, I have a cunning plan. This involve smuggling him out in a wheelie bin :-)

I finally managed to speak to Tec today.

He said that the Duchess has improved a great deal, which is good news.

He had been to Shrewsbury to see the vascular surgeon today. The pain in his leg and the ulcers are being caused because he has a blockage in an artery in his groin. As he already knew, the surgeon would only operate in a dire emergency because of his other health problems, so he will just have to put up with it.

Having said that, he is now walking much better than when he went in, he can now do about fifty yards with a zimmer frame, so will be able to manage at home especially with all the help in place. He was having a talk with the sister later this afternoon, so he was going to start his escape plan

I must get on today and do some more for the community Chritmas tree entry. I aslo need to trawl the internet to book Christmas lunch.
What to do first?? Probably play a few games on the computer :-D

Good morning Mersey. OH got up and had some breakfast, which is an improvement as he didn't eat at all yesterday. He has gone straight back to bed though. He just dozes and listens to the radio when he is ill

Hello all. Well, the rain helped, but just after I told you about it, it stopped! ... and the forecast rain didn't happen. Still more forecast, but doesn't look like getting here - so it's back to watering the pots again!
My sympathies go out to all of you people who are suffering colds, virues, etc. at the moment. Your cold weather and our changeable weather have a lot to do with it, I'm sure. Huia - hope your OH is improving, but how is he managing? Does he normally walk much? I should imagine it would be too sore to try for a while, but even then, it would take a bit of getting used to.

I have been busy all night trying to sort out Christmas arrangements. There are lots of us all meeting up and it somehow fell to me to sort it out :-(

Anyway the accommodation is now booked, all I have to do is to find somewhere for lunch on Christmas day, not an easy task at this late stage

I tried to ring Tec but he didn't answer,so I sent him a text, but he hasn't replied to that yet

OH is very ill with really severe man flu, he is sleeping in the spare room tonight

Linda hope your OH feels better soon. My daughter is off work with a throat and ear infection. Her OH is away this week doing a course for his new business so we have been busy helping out. Yesterday Drew came home sick so I would think that they will all come down with whatever is going around :-(

Sorry to hear that your husband is unwell at the moment. My 11 year old Granddaughter 2 is home with it also! Terrible bad throat and feeling generally very poorly.

Good morning everyone. We got back late last night,so it was too late to post. OH started to get a sore throat while we were away, he feels ill, so he is staying in bed this morning.

Tec sent me a text last night, he just said that he and the Duchess are improving. I asked him how long he thought they would be in for, he said at least until after Wednesday when he has an appointment at Shrewsbury hospital. It is a follow up to when he was in last time. At least he will be transported there and back, so that will be easier. I will try and speak to him today.

I am sorry to hear about your husband Huia, I hope he will be OK.

There is a white frost on the lawn this morning,and snow is forecast for the east coast later in the week,so I can't wait.
