You really wouldn't want to do that Mersey, take notice of Sue

It is freezing here,so extra layers of clothes are called for, not taking them off

Hello everyone :-)

I won't be on in the morning as I am on the school run. SIL is sorting himself out with his new business so we are quite busy with the children until he settles into a routine.

Of course I expect you all to behave - don't be led astray by Mersey and no running around without clothes like Huia :-|

Mersey, you are far too jolly for this time of the day, I don't know how you do it. I wake up when the radio comes on at 7am. I listen to it as I doze, but these days I go back to sleep again and I could sleep all morning. I only get up because OH shakes me :-(

Maybe I am supposed to hibernate like bears do, I think I would like that :-)

Huia, put some clothes on :-0

It is nice going away and being all together at Christmas Persie. Three years ago when Eve was just a few months old we all hired a large house right in the centre of Bath for a week and we really enjoyed it. This time was just more difficult because of the short notice and the fact that we only want to stay for two nights. The lovely country house hotels re all fully booked and in any case have a minimum three night booking period over Christmas

Eira is a lovely name, I can't see there being any problems here... we have some really way out names.

I had not heard of Selfira until a young friend up North, her name is Tamara, had her little girl last year.

Huia... I do think you should not go into town without your clothes on.

My younger SIL's father got two apartments at one of our holiday spots Mt Maunganui a couple of Christmases ago.. It was a great idea. They were really great, had a wonderful view of the beach and just a short walk into the shopping centre and the port where one of the big Ocean Cruisers was in dock.

Glad you are progressing well Tec.. May pop in for one of your coffees one morning.. I will get a lift with Mersey..

Persie :-)

I have just come back from town where I ordered some new matts for some of my photos for next Monday night. I will collect them tomorrow.

I then went to a shop where I had seen a lovely outfit the other day. I bought it. The top is an organza type material covered with pohutukawa blooms and the trousers are a red colour to match the flowers. It cost me considerably more than I pay for clothes in our hospice shop, but I decided I was worth it. It is my Christmas and birthday present to me.

Rain has just started, maybe now things will cool down and I can put some clothes on.

Yes I remembered you saying your niece has health problems so Eira is very special. Two new twigs in your tree this year :-D

I must get on with my day so I will say goodnight to my Up Toppers and a good day to my Down Underers <3 <3

Sleep well Tec

My sister is pleased naturally. Her daughter has a syndrome which means that she wasn't expected to be able to become pregnant because of her health problems,so it was a surprise when she did

Sounds like you will have a lovely time Linda, seeing all the family over Christmas.

Sue, I am amazed that all the agencies seem to pull together so well.
There is lots of help available, and it is appreciated. Life will be easier with what is offered.
It is all rather strange having other people coming into ones home "doing things" and as we have always been rather private people, it is all the stranger, but there is no doubt we do need the help, so I am grateful for what is offered.
Maybe I will get better, and more able to cope in time.

It did take some planning, especially as it was only last week when my daughter announced that she thought we should find somewhere to meet up. My son doesn't have a car any more because living in the centre of Oxford they never used it. Eve's other grandparents have problems with driving due to older age. They would have got the train, hence the choice of Manchester, but as there are no trains back on Boxing Day, they are going to drive, but it is only about forty miles

Plus Eve's fathers sister and her husband were supposed to be coming as well, but they can never make up their minds until the last minute,so I went ahead and booked everything without them

SueMaid Report 25 Nov 2013 21:27

Sounds lovely, Linda. That took some planning but I'm sure it will be worth it.

What a busy day, Tec but it sounds like lots of things have been put in place to make life easier.
