I suppose it's too much to ask if there are any nice croissants for my breakfast ? We had some very strange croissants and Danish pastries in Bali :-D

That would be nice Linda, though it might get cold en-route, anyway it's done now :-)

I haven't been overdoing it Linda - honest. I have never sat about so much in my life. The best thing is that I can walk again albeit very slowly with the zimmer, and can get downstairs in the morning to see to the Duchess's medication. She has forgotten how to do her insulin etc, so needs close supervision with that.

Sue I am hoping the nurse will arrange with the doctor to increase the morphine, she hasn't the authority to do that.
I am on so much medication that I'm afraid to go too near a naked flame :-D

Going to make coffee now.

What a lovely visit that will be, Linda. When we were last in the UK we visited our new great great nieces. The are two now and although not identical twins they are like two peas in a pod.

Hello Tec, I am sorry you are in pain again - I told you not to overdo it.

It sounds like the lounge is coming together, now all you need is to find someone to paint the wall for you.

Hello Everyone,

Sylvia I am very sorry to see the sad news of your SIL. I hope that she will get all the help she can in the difficult days ahead.

Tomorrow our cleaning lady will arrive for the first time. I don't think there is too much for her to do here. My daughter cleaned the house from top to bottom last weekend, and we are not messy.
She will be here for two hours, and I expect some of the time will be taken up showing her where everything is kept, and where everything is.

The district nurse will also call tomorrow to dress my leg, hopefully it will be more comfortable then, as it is very painful again now.

On Friday the denture technician is calling to do another fitting for my new teeth. That all came to a halt when I was taken back to hospital. I will be able to smile again without frightening people.

Sunday two men are com.ing to put the overmantel mirror about the new fireplace. I am looking forwad to seeing that in place.
It's four foot wide and fits the gap between the mantelpiece and the picture rail.

The Duchess is much betternow thank goodness. She was issued with an inhaler when she left hospital, and that helps her when she gets breathless.

~~~~~~~to everyone, hoping you are all well and happy,
Tec
It has sections of bevelled mirrors, set in a gilt frame.
Good morning to you Sue
I should think that as long as your OH can see and hear using his aids, he will be fine
I can now see again, but my feet are aching from trailing around the town. I got a few bits and pieces, but not as much as I wanted to
The friend who I am doing the Christmas exhibit with brought me lots more bits to glitter up. I tried to be careful but I think the glitter will be all over the place
Hello everyone - hope you are all well :-)
Sylvia - I hope your daughter is able to spend some quality time with her aunt. What a sad time for you all. How is your SIL coping?
After a lovely sunny day yesterday we have woken to a miserable overcast dat today :-(
OH has to go for a medical for his volunteer work this morning. It's a new thing the council has started. As well as general fitness they test hearing and eyesight. As OH wears glasses and earring aids I'm wondering how that will work :-S
Hi Sue, and everyone
Thank you all.
We're slowly coming to terms about it :-(
My daughter phoned this morning ......... she wants to see if she can arrange a "long weekend" trip over to see her aunt. That depends more on sis-i-l than on getting plane tickets.
This time, she'll leave the kidwink with his father.
A VERY rude awakening this morning
The motion sensor went off ay 4:30am
I was at the bedroom door before I even opened my eyes :-D
Turned out that OH had heard the smoke alarm go off in the basement .............. through 2 closed doors, 1 room and the enclosed stair well. So he had got up without waking me, and gone to investigate.
However, he had forgotten to turn off the motion sensor, so he put one foot on the little landing at the turn of the stairs and .......................
Neither of us went back to sleep after that ................. he had set his alarm for 6 am 'cos he had to be out of the house by 7 am, and we were so worried that we wouldn't hear the alarm!
Take care everyone
I am just looking in quickly
I am so sorry to hear about your sister in law Sylvia.
I hope there is something they can do to slow down your macular degeneration. Mum had the wet type,as does Eve's other grandma. They both had/have regular injections which really help
