Do you wake too early if you have an early night, Linda?

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 1 Dec 2013 21:44

OH has gone to make coffee, I am shattered and am willing the clock to move on

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 1 Dec 2013 21:35

I think that's what some people are saying - why should volunteers have to have medicals? OH was quite happy to as are most of the volunteers. As a hospital volunteer I have to have a flu injection every year as well as Hepatitis vaccinations up to date.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 1 Dec 2013 21:31

It is difficult because they are volunteers, but as they are driving other people, they do need to be able to prove that they are up to it

SueMaid Report 1 Dec 2013 21:28

He went fine, Linda. His hearing isn't great but as he wears aids he passed that with no problem.

The council will lose some of their drivers because they are refusing to take the medical :-(

Hello Sue, I hope we don't catch it as well, poor old OH still isn't fully over his man flu

How did your OH get on at his medical?

Hello Sylvia :-) we had a lovely big lunch so no tea for us this evening. It was great to see people who I haven't seen for awhile and not one person complained about the menu :-D

I haven't changed to a summer quilt yet. We are still having cool nights so I'll wait awhile.

"It's getting to look a lot like .................................... "

it's been raining here, but we are told that a cold front is on its way down from the north, and we might see some little white bits on Monday :-0

Plus the temperature is going to plunge ...................... so we added an extra duvet to our bed this evening when we changed the sheets and duvet cover!

take care everyone

Goodnight Tec - sweet dreams to you and the Duchess <3 <3

Tecwyn Report 30 Nov 2013 22:24

I'm creeping off to bed now, tired after my gallivanting today.

Hope you both enjoy Christmas lunch Sue, and have a laugh with those around you.

Goodnight,
Tec :-)

Terrible thing to happen at any time, but these things always seem worse just before the Christmas.

Well done to Australia in the Rugby League World Cup - NZ 2 - Australia 34. I felt sorry for the Kiwi's, but they just didn't seem to get into the game.

Australia beat Wales 26 -30 in rugby union match - good match, well done Aussies

SueMaid Report 30 Nov 2013 22:10

Dreadful thing to happen. Apparently a police helicopter. Eight fatalities and a number of people injured :-(

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 30 Nov 2013 22:07

No - that wouldn't be in the spirit of Christmas Sue, but I know how you feel.

I don't like Christmas pudding either, but would always expect to see it on a Christmas menu.
I'm sure there would be many more complaints if it wasn't there.

Just seen a dreadful news item - a helicopter crashed onto a pub in Glasgow, there are no survivors in the helicopter, and the pub was packed so there will be more casualities - awful.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 30 Nov 2013 22:00

I nearly shoved it down their throat Tec but I guess that's not in the spirit of Christmas :-D
