Good that you were able to help your daughter's friend with her enquiry Linda.

Yes if I could get the wall painted that would be the lounge finished, except behind the sideboard, which is a major job on it's own. It has to be emptied of dinner services, booze and glasses etc. Then two strong men to move it forward as it's solid oak and vey very heavy. That will be a project in the New Year, but not by me.
Maybe that boy in the village will do it :-D

Hello Berona - Your weather sounds nice. It's grey and misty here. There is no chance of me doing any painting as I can barely stand up, and only shuffle along with the help of a walker.
On Saturday I just made it across the pavement to the hairdressers with the help of my walking stick - so you see, I won't be doing any painting :-D

We had a beautiful day to-day. A little too warm, but quite bearable as the humidity was low. 27c to-day. Our second day of summer. Still none of the rain the weather men promised us, though.

Sorry I was a bit inattentive last night. My daughter sent an email asking me if I could find who had lived in a very old house in a village which belonged to one of her friends. The house that is, not the village
Normally, there would be no chance, but this time the address was The Old Post Office and luckily the same family were the grocer and post master from 1871 onwards

All you need to do now is to find someone to paint the wall Tec and you will be all done, in the lounge anyway
