Diane

Diane Report 2 Dec 2013 23:04

Tec I'm sure they will enjoy spending their pennies :-)
Your daughter probably just wants to make sure you and the Duchess are up and well in case you have had a fall and have been unable to alert anyone which then may result in the Duchess having a bad turn, being so far away this will help her to be more relaxed about you both :-)

LindainHerriotCountry Report 2 Dec 2013 23:02

I am off as well, so goodnight Diane

As Berona is not here, I will tell you not to stay up too late :-)

Tecwyn Report 2 Dec 2013 23:01

Sleep well Linda, and Diane,

Goodnight,

Diane Report 2 Dec 2013 22:56

Yeah Linda I know what you mean, when my daughter stayed over night I would have 3 little girls climbing all over me wanting me to get up :-(
They are all teenagers now with teenage problems :-| love them all dearly even when they squabble over pinching each others clothes and make-up :-)

Never mind Tec once you are back on your feet then you will have your home back to normal and back in your routine :-)

Tecwyn Report 2 Dec 2013 22:53

I did cut out the mornings calls Linda, but they started up again after we came out of hospital.
My daughter is in touch with them, and she is anxious that someone calls in the mornings to check that we are alright.

I am sure they will enjoy spending their pennies Tec

Diane the little fan club have no links with this area now. They sent us a group photo last week.
We can't shop for them this year, so will send some pennies for their mother to get things they are into now. Not the same I know, but it will have to do.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 2 Dec 2013 22:48

I thought hat you cut the morning calls out before Tec, can't you just have them for the morning when the Duchess needs her shower

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 2 Dec 2013 22:42

Linda - You should tell Grandad that you've joined the Grandparents Union, and the Rulebook states page nine, chapter seven, that Grandads are to play with children on early mornings, alternate days :-D

Diane - it is very odd having the Care people call. Often there is nothing to do, so they sit talking until their half hour is up. Every morning is a bind :-(
Ten o'clock in the morning is a quiet time for me, and I don't really want to sit chatting to strangers in my sitting room. :-(

Victor Meldrew :-)

LindainHerriotCountry Report 2 Dec 2013 22:39

It doesn't seem to make any difference how late she goes to bed, or how tired she is, she still gets up at the crack of dawn :-(

Diane

Diane Report 2 Dec 2013 22:27

Spoilsport Linda you know how much little one's love redecorating your home :-D ;-)
She is at a lovely age now to fully enjoy Christmas, maybe grand-dad can tire her out of an evening so you can have a longer lie in :-)

Tec you might get a surprise visit from your fan club, do they have any family living near you.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 2 Dec 2013 22:20

Granddad turns over and ignores her, it is grandma who has to play

I wouldn't let Eve loose with any craft materials without standing over her Diane, she would paint the whole house without supervision

Diane

Diane Report 2 Dec 2013 22:15

Sorry I disappeared but one of my grand-daughters called in :-)

Linda sorry I knew it was your son you went to visit ( my excuse is memory lapse ) :-( sounds like Eve is going to have a fun time with all her new craft items and will probably be pestering Grandma to help :-D

Bye Sue hope you enjoy all the lovely cakes and presenting the cheque to the University research team :-)

Tec it does take some getting used to having your home invaded by strangers, I know it took my Auntie some time to get used to it but if it is needed then it's worth putting up with until you are able to manage again :-)
It will be nice for your daughter to just be able to visit you both and not have to do any cleaning :-)

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 2 Dec 2013 22:13

I can imagine the early starts are hard, especially when you will be expected to be wide awake and going on full throttle at some unearthly hour.

But you know you love it really :-D

Does Grandad take his turn at the early shift? :-)

Going to make the coffee now

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 2 Dec 2013 22:07

We will see her for eight days in all, so I will be tired by the time she goes, it is the early starts which are the hardest

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 2 Dec 2013 22:00

I bet Eve was so excited about the tree with lights on, and the decorations.
This year she will be at an age to appreciate so much more, and it will be a wonderful time for her.
I'm sure you will have so much fun with her when she comes to stay. Christmas puts on a whole new dimension when there are little children in the house, and I think the adults have more fun because of them.
