I see you too Sue have yoghurt with cornflakes, I really like it.. I started that when I was in OZ.. some people think it strange. I prefer that to milk.. I do not like soggy cornflakes.

Hello Persie :-) How are you today?

Your breakfast sounds very healthy Sue, don't overdo the weight loss though.
I've lost a lot of weight without even trying recently. Won't say what I weigh as it will aggravate you :-D

Linda you are allowed another mince pie if you want one :-)

SueMaid Report 4 Dec 2013 21:56

Hello Persie - yes it can grow back totally different. I remember one fellow jokingly saying that he hoped his wife's hair would grow back blonde as he had always fancied being married to a blonde :-D

Persephone Report 4 Dec 2013 21:55

Uh oh.. I originally landed on the wrong page.. see our Linda has googled it..

I had my coffee three hours ago, must be due for another one..

Spilt baked bean liquid out of my sandwich on my t shirt as well..

and it is pouring with rain and we have to load broken up concrete into a skip that arrived at 8am.. Then we can have a new path and driveway soon..

Picket fence and gates have gone up this last week.. certainly changes the appearance of the house.

Hope things improve quickly for Esme.. (Maia's friend Esme is up here for a couple of weeks from Dunedin.. they were friends from first year at school)

Hello Persie

The same hair thing happened to the lady who owns the local deli, she had straight hair which grew back looking like an afro perm, it is driving her bonkers

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 4 Dec 2013 21:50

I've just had a bowl of cornflakes with fruit and nuts and a dollop of yoghurt :-). We are trying to eat healthy and lose some weight. OH has lost some weight and I think I have too so it must be working :-)

Persephone Report 4 Dec 2013 21:49

Yes it is here Huia...

Poor little bloke up the road from us got it, got over it went back to day care and got it again.. as if they didn't have enough to worry about .. the mother has been having chemo.. lost her hair and it grew back all curly.. and my OH said to her I like your hair.. he thought she had had a perm and it does suit her... she hates it.. good thing she has a good sense of humour.

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 4 Dec 2013 21:47

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 4 Dec 2013 21:42

Hopefully all will be sorted by then, Linda.

Hello Tec - coffee would be nice but can I save the mince pie for later?

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 4 Dec 2013 21:40

She has to go back to work in April,so things need to be better sorted before then

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 4 Dec 2013 21:39

Hello Everyone, :-)

Is anyone ready for coffee? even a mince pie?

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 4 Dec 2013 21:34

Hopefully all these appointments will help Esme and her mum.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 4 Dec 2013 21:29

She sees the speech therapist every couple of weeks, it is just this one joint appointment with the dietician who she has also seen before

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 4 Dec 2013 21:27

The speech therapist may be able to get her to suck from the bottle. When Aimee was a baby the speech therapist taught my daughter how to get Aimee sucking in rhythm so she could swallow her milk properly. It's a shame your daughter has to wait so long for the appointments.

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 4 Dec 2013 21:21

She has thickened milk on a spoon but doesn't like it, she seemed to like the apple, but only takes tiny amounts.

she is seeing the dietician and speech therapist on the 12th of Dec. As well as the referral for the stomach tube, she also has a referral to a specialist place where she will see physiotherapists and occupational therapists, that is in January as well

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 4 Dec 2013 21:16

I am also diddling well, Mersey :-D

Linda - I read your post on the thread about little Katy. I was wondering if Esme would be able to take some milk on a spoon?

No it didn't seem challenging and I don't think I'd go to the cinema to watch it but I'd watch it on the telly. In Bali you can buy DVDs for a ridiculous price. We bought some for the children for Christmas and a couple for ourselves. They were disappointing but no great loss. Some movies get big write-ups but are a bit of a let down.
