OH is getting a little fidgety as he is ready to go to the markets :-D. I'll put him out of his misery and finish getting ready. No such thing as a leisurely Sunday in this house although he did bring me a cup of coffee earlier :-D

Hi Everyone,

Just popped in to say hello. I am ok, but have had another bad day. The nurse is calling Monday to take swabs from the ulcers because one of the four blood tests the nurse took on Thursday has come back showing an infection somewhere.
I am sure there is now infection in the ulcers, as they look healthy. I am sure the infection is in the leg itself to do with the arteries.
They will issue antibiotics eventually.
I thinks it's inevitable that I will end up back in hospital at any time.

My biggest problem then is the Duchess, she would need to go into a nursing home, and won't take to that very kindly.
She can't go to my daughter's for many reasons, not least is that she uses a stairlift and they don't one. Also the house is empty all day, and she needs supervision around the clock.

I am on here for a short time, but won't be staying long.

OH finished digging over the allotment this afternoon while I did the tree, he just has the manure to spread on the potato section now, then he can leave it for the winter

It was hot yesterday but the weather is supposed to be much cooler for the next few days. Typical for this time of year. I think I'll be doing some gardening this afternoon. We are supposed to get some rain but we don't mind working in the garden if its light drizzle.

It was warm today, 10 degrees, but it was blowing a gale earlier tonight, so it was nice to close the curtains

I read Tec's post about a recurring infection in his leg. I hope that's not the case. Such a worry :-(

The vases I bought are really quite pretty. I bought two single bloom vases for my next door neighbour - we generally buy each other a little something. They will look nice on a windowsill. I bought a nice white plant pot for my "new" SIL as she has a number of indoor plants. I will buy some succulents from the market today. She is a big fan of Ikea. I also bought a few serving dishes and platters for my daughter. She likes white dishes for dips and antipasto when they have friends over.

My cheap everyday crockery is from Ikea, that is the stuff I let you use Sue :-D :-D

All is well, Mersey just busy :-D

We've only been to this Ikea once before where I bought some everyday dinner plates. I also bought some smaller plates and bowls for the grandchildren who don't use plastic anymore. If they are broken it doesn't matter - they were so cheap. My daughter did the same so the table looks nice when set as they all have dinner together now the children are older.

Today we are going to our local market so I can buy some nice fresh summer fruits and some eggs :-)

I went to the Leeds Ikea a couple of weeks ago when I went to see my new great niece. I wanted some more of the thick wine glasses which they sell. You can bash them about in the dishwasher without breaking them

As I said in my earlier post I was having a lot of difficulty getting on the site. I gave up :-S

We went for a drive towards Sydney yesterday and ended up in the huge Ikea in one of the outer suburbs. I bought some lovely vases and plant pots for gifts. It was crowded so we didn't stay too long but that has finished my Christmas shopping :-D

We also had a nice lunch in a large garden centre but amazingly I didn't buy any plants :-0

So I see, so where have you been then?
