we're slowly getting together all the stuff we need to take with us .................. including the Christmas pud from the freezer!

OH made 3 last year, 1 was used then, and so we will have 1 left for next Christmas :-)

We're having our Christmas meal (not sure whether it will be lunch or dinner) with friends of our friend ................ he's English, she was American ............... and SHE loves Christmas pud :-)


I'm making braised steak for dinner tonight ......... haven't done that for years! Hard work, trying to remember how my mummy used to make it :-)


Berona ......... those are high temperatures!!


I remember the temperature on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day in Melbourne 1975 was up at 40 and 41 .................. then the winds came in on Boxing Day. What an incredible change! The temperature dropped about 15C in 5 minutes!

No-one had air conditioning back then :-(

It was brutal ................ but we were also younger :-)

It took a long time to get the antibiotics Tec, I hope they work soon

I must get on with my day as it's nearly 9.30. We have the children for awhile tomorrow so I really need to get some jobs done.

Sue, the nurse dropped the antibiotics off on Friday afternoon, so they should start working soon.

Oh dear Tec, i am so sorry to hear that you are not well, I hope that you manage to stay at home for Christmas.

The panto yesterday was very good. It was a company called Pocket Panto who tour small venuses such as village halls. There are only three of them and they play all of the parts between them. It was really good and Eve loved it, she was shouting out all the responses

There has been lots of playing going on today,so handma is tired. Baby Esme has just done a spectacular vomit across the room.

I hope that everyone else is organised for Christmas, I need to brave the supermarket again tomorrow

Sounds like you'll have a perfect Christmas Sue.

I am in a lot of pain, despite the morphine, my legs are badly swollen, ads It's difficult to move, even using the walker.
The morphine is playing havoc with me. I nod off to sleep constantly. It's awkward to use the laptop because my hands are quite shaky.
I'm sure I will be back in hospital quite soon, but am trying to get through Christmas and not ruin everyone's Christmas.

Oh we had another visitor today. the young man that kind of adopted us as parents arrived unexpectedly this afternoon. We last saw him in the summer, so it was a very pleasant surprise.

Oh dear Tec - I'm so sorry things haven't been good for you. It's lovely that you have had your daughter with you for the weekend.

I am now ready for Christmas which will be a nice quiet affair at my daughter's home. My SIL will cook lunch. Boxing Day will be even quieter - just as we like it :-D
