I bought a couple of John Rocha tops and a jumper from Marks.

I had bought a plum coloured Jacques Vertes sleeveless top to go with the suit I wore to the palace. As I have fat arm syndrome, I wouldn't wear the top much, so I was really pleased to find the matching blouse which is designed to go over the top. It is sheer, but really nicely cut with three quarter length sleeves. They will look very good with just a pair of black trousers, so I am very pleased, especially given the massive price cut.

Amanda - what a great idea :-) We've just bought some very healthy strawberry plants from some neighbouring children. They wanted some pocket money for the summer holidays. Very enterprising we thought :-)

I am thankful that the only sales bargins that I have a weakness for are packets of seeds , bulbs and flower pots ....lol

Yes thank you Amanda, my daughter, partner and 3 grand-daughters all came for christmas dinner christmas day and on boxing day my son and fiancee came for another christmas dinner.

I have been having trouble getting on the thread lately but am here at last .

We had a power cut last night , thankfully it only lasted fifteen mins or so here but other folk in the surrounding areas where in darkness for several hours. It was quite windy , apparently a tree knocked out a main power line :-S

I hope that everyone is recovered from the New Year celebrations :-D

Sylvia , I hope your family are bearing up okay , it must be very difficult for you all to be beginning a new year under such a sad cloud . I hope you SIL is comfortable.

I have been out in the garden today , we actually had sunshine and mild temperatures . I have planted up 30 pots of bulbs , five bulbs to a pot ( I bought four packets for 50p a pack in the sale at the garden centre , I was being greedy as I knew I didn't even need them .... lol ) , I shall put them out for sale on the table out the front in a few weeks , if I get £1 a pot then it will more or less pay the rent fees for one of the allotments :-D

I hope Tec and the Duchess are getting on reasonably well . I think about them every day and wish that the tide would turn for them <3

OH went walking today, he got back before me.

When I came in, he said "Where have you been and what have you spent"?

My answer "Out and a lot" :-D :-D :-D :-D
