It was a lovely day yesterday and looks to be the same today. My SIL is taking Aimee to the cricket tomorrow (Sunday). She loves it :-)

The grandchildren have arrived full of energy. How can they bounce around so much :-0

Hello everyone - no smiley face as I am so concerned about our Tec :-( I don't understand why more isn't being done by the medical people.

Sylvia - I'm glad to hear your OH has arrived safely and is with his sister. A sad time for you and your family.

Goodness knows Sylvia, I would have thought that the surgery would work as a team and have weekly meetings to discuss the care of patients in the community, but it seems not. The nurses come to dress the ulcers, but don't seem to report back about the more severe problems. The doctors don't do house calls and he can't leave the house so he gets no treatment

Poor Tec, he certainly does not have it easy poor thing. Sending him pink cwtches and special thoughts to Duchess too <3 <3 <3 <3

what is the matter with the health system??

I spoke to Tec today and passed on all the New Year wishes. He has asked me to thank everyone for their concern and to wish everyone a happy New Year.

Sadly his health is worse and unless his doctors surgery get their act together, things are not going to improve, he is not due to go back to the hospital until February, but I fear that will be too late

So sorry to hear about your Sister-In-Law. My thoughts are with you and your family. I'm glad that your OH got there safely, given the weather in Canada. I hope that she will be as comfortable as possible and not in pain. ((((((((((BIG CWTCH))))))))))

My new Washing Machine arrived this morning. Waiting for OH to put it in now.
Granddaughter 1 went home Wednesday after nearly a week here. I've got to say, it's much quieter now with just Grandson 1 here.

I'm going to work on my tree a little bit today, hopefully, unless my family have other ideas.

We are experiencing really strange and extreme weather here in the UK, particularly on the coast. Huge amount of rain, flooding and gale force winds. Barmouth, not far from where Tec is, was mentioned on the Weather Forecast, as a particularly dangerous area.
All of you near the coast- TAKE GREAT CARE AND PLEASE KEEP SAFE!

Hello Sylvia, i am glad that your OH is able to be with his sister. The being at home and the hospital bed brings back memories of mum's last few days, it was very hard as we had to sit with her round the clock, but she was able to pass away at home which is what she wanted. The home care nursing teams are so good these days.

It is a calm day here, no sign of the storms which are battering much of the country.

I am going to take the tree down and pack all the decorations away today. As soon as you touch it, it sheds copious amounts of needles, so moving it across the room and ut of the patio doors is going to leave lots of needles to clear up, no doubt I will be finding them for weeks.

Today as miserable ....rainy and grey!

Mind you .................. it was snowing hard up North where my sil lives. OH got there safely, and on time ................ which doesn't always happen when flying into airports in small towns up there! In fact, I guess the airport might have been closed later in the day.

Sil seems to be being kept comfortable, she's at home ........ they got a hospital bed for her. And she seems to be very rational when not sleeping ........... which is good.

OH is helping to get information together on "family heirlooms" that she has ....... which means attempting to decipher his mother's handwriting! He's also answering her questions re "family things".

The weather is supposed to clear up down here for Friday and through the weekend ........ sunny, but getting to below 0C overnight.

At least we are not getting the bitterly cold weather that is happening in the rest of Canada.



Linda .............. please give my best wishes to Tec and the Duchess when you next talk to him. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will be able to help them. xxxx

Hello all. Hope you are all enjoying the new year. To-day's forecast here is for up to 32c, but it is nearly 10am, and so far, only cloud and very pleasant. If the clouds roll away, things might change, so we need to get things done early in case that happens.
Sylvia - it's a sad time for you, so understandable that you probably want the festive season over. I trust that your SIL's passing will be peaceful, as they are these days, thankfully.
Diane - I'm so glad to know you sent that email. Very good that you have waited this long too, so that you have had time to think about what you wanted to say. Much better to turn your back on people like that. You have your own loving family, without those who didn't bother with you for forty years. Good riddance. and good on you!
Linda - I'm sure you will let us know how Tec and his duchess are. Please tell him I'm thinking of him when you speak to him next time....and thank you for contacting him on our behalf.
