Sounds cold but very interesting, Linda.

On a better note, it is OH's birthday in a couple of weeks, so we have just booked a long weekend in Wroclaw in Poland. It was the only place where we haven't been before and we could get flights to which left at convenient times. The old part looks very nice and there seems to be plenty to do

We have just been through the annual charade of the car insurance renewal. Every year, we get the renewal notice, then go on the comparison sites and enter all the details. It looks like you can save a massive amount, until you click through to the cheapest insures website and start adding all the extras on.

I have noticed that over the last few years, the amount we can save has been coming down. even so, we can save about £35, so tomorrow OH will phone the current insurer and give them the like for like quote, they will then reduce their quote to match and we will stay with them. That saves the hassle of changing. I wish they would just give you the cheapest quote in the first place. I suppose they just rely on people not being bothered to check and paying more than they need to.

Berona thank you for what you put in your post a couple of days ago, it was best that I had left it until now as I think I may have said what I wanted to say all wrong.
I don't know if he has read it yet, unless he replies I have no way of knowing if the e-mail has been read, I may find out via my sister if the other brother gets told about it then he is likely to tell my sister.
I hope you are coping ok with the heat, you are welcome to some of the rain we are having over here :-D
