I am glad that the weather is OK for you Sylvia, I have just been watching the news and it looks dreadful in most places.

I have to go for a routine squashing next week Amanda, I am glad that nothing was found for you

I haven't heard anything from Tec, so I don't know if he is in hospital yet, he was waiting for the doctor to phone back. He said he would let me know, so I will wait.

Hi Amanda :-)

I was just reading about your scare. Thankfully it turned out to be nothing to worry about, but you must have been frightened.Hope you are ok. :-)

Sylvia-
Hope that your sister-in-laws family are coping. How hard it must be for them and your brother and yourself. Thankfully, she is not in pain and at home where she wanted to be.Thinking about you :-)

Hi Sue,Berona,Linda, Huia, Mersey and all other friends on the Aussie thread- Hope you are ok. As all of you- thinking about our Tec <3

Oh dear :-( I too have found the news about Tec very distressing . I had been fearing a turn for the worse after Lindas last update but I hadn't even considered gangrene . At least by now he will be in hospital and hopefully feeling a bit safer than he must have been feeling stuck at home .
The outcome is in the " hands of the Gods " and I'm sure that we will all be willing him to get better with all ours hearts <3

Sylvia , I hope that your husband is bearing up okay , it is good to know that his sister is at home , where she wishes to be . I am thinking of you all .

Hello Berona , I hope you are getting along okay and that the weather is not to hot for you at the moment .

I had to go to the hospital today , for a bosom squashing in the torture machine :-0 :-| I had a large lump come up over Christmas and my Dr ordered an urgent appointment at the hospital ( which came through in a matter of days ) , thankfully nothing awful has shown up :-D the lump as subsided , so it must have been a bit of an infection that I have fought off .

The news about Tec is very upsetting. I can't believe that he has been allowed to reach the present stage without better treatment than he has received.
Thankfully, he is a fighter and I hope he keeps up his fighting spirit and that the Duchess will be taken care of properly too.

Linda - you did say that you drink with your bottom up. I saw it too!!

Hi Sue, and everyone
xxx

Sending love and best wishes to Tec and The Duchess. xxxx <3 <3

I find their predicament hard to believe, and wonder what is happening to the UK medical system.

Certainly the quality they have received is not what one would expect.

OH is back from 4 days helping with his sister. Now it is just a matter of waiting for the end. She is being kept comfortable, and pain-free. She requested to die in her own home, and the local hospice is helping with her care. It sounds as if it is all superb!

It is raining today here ................. and pretty mild at around +7C

Quite unlike the rest of Canada, and much of the US

take care everyone

Oh dear - I'm shedding tears as I read this. Poor Tec and his Duchess :-( Hospital is of course the best place for Tec but I am so worried about the outcome. This must be so confusing for the Duchess :-(

I may not be on later as I am picking up the grandchildren.

I have just spoken to Tec, he is sitting with his bag packed waiting to go into hospital.
I was worried about him last week because his legs were so swollen and he said his toes were stone cold. He should have phoned the doctor on Friday, but didn't of course.
The ulcers are just a symptom of the poor circulation in his legs caused by a blocked artery in the groin. He has known about this since his last stay in hospital, but because of his other medical conditions, the surgeon would only operate as a last resort and even then.......

When the nurse came this morning, she panicked because she said gangrene was setting in in both his feet. She rang the doctor who then rang Tec and told him to get ready to go to hospital. Afterwards the doctor rang back to say that she was talking to the vascular surgeons to see if they could take him in today,or if it would be later in the week.

In the meantime, his daughter has arrived to sort the Duchess out, but she can't be left on her own. She is refusing point blank to go into a nursing home, but she can't go back with her daughter as she works full time.

Despite all this, Tec sounded quite upbeat, better than he has for a while.

I haven't posted his medical problems before, but I have his permission to do so now as he knows people are contacting me asking me about him.

Time to keep everything crossed and keep him in our thoughts.

Hi Sue and Friends :-) :-)

Just a quick hello to you all. Hope that you are all ok and coping with the heat. Allan said it is very hot (where he is anyway)

We are experiencing terrible weather here as I'm sure you all know. The Welsh Coast has had a hammering! We have had terrible thunderstorms at least 4 nights (the loudest I've heard) and it is still thundering now. We have had torrential rain / sleet / hailstones and Gale force winds too!
The railway line where we are has been closed, as the sea has forced huge boulders from the sea break onto the train line.

I haven't had a chance to read back, so I hope that you are all well, happy / coping- Love Jem <3
