Hello :-)

just popping into see update on Tec.

Linda thank you for keeping us up to date and I'm glad to hear Tec is more comfortable and his pain is being better managed :-)
Sending healing thoughts to Tec and I hope the Duchess is coping away from home.

I had a look at the hostess trolleys and John Lewis have one for £159, there are cheaper one's on ebay but I would not buy one second hand for fear of them not working or only lasting for a short time.

Allan I would find those temps unbearable, I am sorry for those that have lost their home's and sad for the man who died :-(

~~~~~ to all on the thread :-) <3
A good reason for not travelling in the Northern Hemisphere at the moment :-(
I have to get ready to go out - OH is taking a mobility scooter to an elderly lady who he thinks won't be able to handle it. He wants a second opinion.
Goodnight Up-Toppers and a good day to our Down-Underers <3 <3
it's just rainy, windy and mild here ................. about 7C
Hello Sue, I have been watching TV then making phone calls, it is icy here
Allan
Allan Report 12 Jan 2014 22:18
On one local news report one night last week, it was stated that between the highest temp in WA and the lowest in the USA there was a difference of 80 degrees :-0
SueMaid
SueMaid Report 12 Jan 2014 22:13
That's incredible Allan especially when people are coping with such extreme cold in other countries.
Sue, I hope that this link doesn't stretch the thread. it is about Perth's recent heatwave
I saw on the weather report that it was hotter in Perth than in Kalgoorlie. We have family living there and they are used to the heat. Adelaide is looking at a heat wave over the next few days :-(
Allan
Allan Report 12 Jan 2014 21:47
Yes Sue. A 62 year old man died whilst defending his house. He was on the roof when he had a heart attack. As tragic as that is, he has been the only casualty, apart from the wildlife :-(
I'm no lover of the heat either :-D
Hello everyone :-D
Thank you Linda <3. I'm so glad that Tec is more comfortable. It was dreadful to think of him in so much pain. I do miss Tec and his wonderful humour. Such a gentleman with some mischief mixed in :-) Hopefully he will soon be back with that twinkle in his eye and his excellent coffee.
Allan - I heard about the bushfires on the news. Very sad that some homes were lost. The news said that there is also a fatality :-( You can keep the heat - I can well do without it :-P
Allan
Allan Report 12 Jan 2014 20:39
Linda, Thanks for the update regarding Tec. I do sincerely hope that they can get him sorted as soon as possible
Sue, we West Ozzies are really a most generous bunch! we are sending you the hot weather that we have just experienced :-D
On the downside, there was (and still is) a massive bushfire in the Hills area East of Perth. So far 27 homes are known to have been destroyed. More may be found once it is safe to return to the area. The fire has been contained but is still out of control :-(
Thankyou Linda for letting us know about our Tec :-) :-)
I'm so glad that his pain relief is now being managed better, and that he is keeping positive. It is very strange not to have his humorous personality on here isn't it! You and Sue in particular, but also the rest of the Aussie Thread must miss him terribly.
Please pass on my Get Well wishes and love when you get the chance :-)
Got to go... all manner of plotting and cunning plans are afoot! The War of The Tickling Sticks has been being waged on Nutlodge, Mersey's Tickling/Sassy Thread, among others, for the last few days! :-D :-D :-D :-D
Love Jem <3
Hi Linda what great news about Tec, at least the pain relief is helping now , Im thinking of him as he goes through the tests, and looking forward to seeing him back whe he is fit and well, he just has to do what he is told LOL :-) :-) <3 <3 <3
Love to Tec's daughter and Duchess too <3
As always thanks for letting us know Linda if it wasn't for you we would not know about him,and worrying about him even more <3
LindainHerriotCountry Report 12 Jan 2014 19:29
I have had an email from Tec's daughter. she said that he is just having lots of tests at the moment, but they should know more by mid week. She said that he is being positive and just wants it sorting out. He has been in a lot of pain, but they are now managing this much better for him. She has passed on everyones greetings.
I am so pleased he is in less pain because it has been dreadful for him, she didn't mention the duchess. I have sent him texts, but apart from once, he hasn't been able to reply, so I will have to wait for emails from his daughter
Hello berona, it is nice to see you.
If Persie thinks that most of the time, I am not a little gem, then I am off to sit in the corner and sulk
Thank you, Persie. Yes, they are there now and I found them - and did my duty!!
I had 11th January as the review date and have been looking for the posts since Saturday morning. I'm usually too early, but by the time I have a good night's sleep, I find Ann is chasing me up with a message. Beat her to it this time!
Thanks, Mersey, for offering to investigate, but I suppose you've found my entries by now, anyway.
Persephone Report 12 Jan 2014 10:01
Hi Berona, I see the review and suggestions are on front page of hobbies at present.. I no longer take part.. I have so many books to read so am giving it a miss for awhile.. looking at all the books I have to read it could be a long while... and now that I don't have deadlines have really not been that good at reading and being busy elsewhere.
Thank you Linda for keeping me informed and up to date about Tec... . sometimes (only sometimes) you are a little gem.
Temperatures here vary up and down each day and then we have a really hot day and the temperature on the weather report for the day is lower than the next day which happens to be decidedly cooler. You can understand that they cannot always predict the weather and temps, but to be way off beam after the event is very strange. My mother had a little poodle dog ornament which changed colour on the day and it always got it right. If we still had it I would donate it to our metrological office.
Waves to all.. Persie xx
