Allan , you are supposed to wrap the sandwiches in a nice freshly laundered hankie :-)

I hope the heat doesn't get to awful for you lot in Aussie land . I can't imagine what those sort of temperatures are like :-0

Diane , I can just about cope with doing buffet food but I'd certainly go into mass panic with a big dinner ....lol

I'm going to say cheerio now , I think the gardening is catching up with me and my old bones :-|

Hello Sue,Amanda,Mersey and Allan :-)

Amanda that was the largest roast dinner I have ever done, but in my job in the Hollywood Bowls I did a hot buffet for 30 people :-S

Sue it was fun trying to decide why your OH had that expression on his face :-D

Allan I hope your trip to NZ goes well :-)

~~~ to Mersey, have you been a busy bee today flitting around every where :-)
They really wanted to get rid of you Allan :-0 :-D
How is the heat over your way? It's bearable here although very humid.
Allan
Allan Report 16 Jan 2014 22:15
Sue, my parents offered to take me to the bus station :-D :-D
Amanda, even as a child I realised that the state of my hankies was not conducive to them being used for food wrapping :-D :-D
Hello Allan - you couldn't run away too far because you wouldn't have been allowed to cross the road on your own :-D :-D
That's about the same flying time from Sydney to Bali.
Amanda2003 Report 16 Jan 2014 21:57
Hello Allan , if one is going to " leave home " you should always wrap the sandwiches up in a spotty hanky and march off with it on a stick over your shoulder :-)
I hope you get your flight plans sorted out .
Sue , make your OH wear a jesters hat next time :-)
SueMaid
SueMaid Report 16 Jan 2014 21:53
I can be Mersey ;-)
OH was fooling around when I was taking photos :-D
Allan
Allan Report 16 Jan 2014 21:52
Hello all
Sue, how very perceptive of you :-D :-D :-D
I remember when I was much younger, saying the same thing (well actually it was last week :-D) but I finished mine with, "I'm going to leave home". My mother usually offered to pack me some sandwiches for my journey :-D :-D.
We'll have to clarify our flight details to NZ. The brochure says we go via Melbourne, but checking the info we received on the deposit receipt it shows a direct flight with a flying time of six and a half hours.
Yes I was being a drama queen ;-)
I was taking some photos of the garden to send to my brother in law in England and asked OH to move the pots hence the look of shock. He puts up with a lot :-D
Hello everyone :-)
I'm pleased your dinner party went off well, Diane. It is always satisfying to know know that everyone has enjoyed a meal you have prepared.
I have also been repotting Amanda - two very large plants needed to be put in bigger pots.
