Bad enough where I am - our temps are 35 to 39 this week - but worse in Melbourne, where the visiting contestants in the Australian Open Tennis are suffering - and so are the locals. They are having record temps down there. They are also having a bushfire in another part of Victoria which was covering more than 40 thousand hectares at the last news bulletin. It isn't known if or how many properties have been lost in that one. Also over in Allan's state (W.A.) the fires have been bad and more than fifty homes were lost there this week. So far, the eastern states have the fires, but not to the dangerous extent that other states are having them at the moment. However, January is our worst month, so we can expect whatever happens. Hope Tec is improving with the right treatment and that his duchess is settling into the new place and being cared for to Tec's satisfaction. Linda - please tell him I'm thinking of him, if you contact him - and thank you for being our contact with him.
