At last I have managed to get on here, it's so slow.

Hello Sue and Everyone,
Firstly I would like to echo what Mersey as said regarding Linda keeping us up to date with Tec, if it was not for you Linda we would all be in the dark about Tec so thank you .

It's been suggested that I put a get well and best wishes booklet together for Tec , so I will collect some of the messages that are on the threads. I also thought it would be nice for Tec if peeps can send me a personal get well message or a prayer by PM then I can also put those in the booklet.

Tec as gone through a hell of a lot this last 6 months so lets get him back to better health. The last booklet I put together for him cheered him up no end, he just could not get over the support, I sent Linda a copy only yesterday.

I haven't done anything which anyone else not would do Mersey. I think it was Amanda who said something along the lines of how amazing it is that people all over the world are caring for each other on GR.

I had so much love and support from the people on this thread when my mum was dying and over the last four and a half years we have supported each other in turn as each person has needed help. Now it is Tec's turn to need the support.

In real life we all have lots of acquaintances, but few close friends, it is the same in the cyber world, we chat happily with lots of people, but for all of us, I am sure that there are just a couple of people who we become close to. It has been a real privilege for me to be able to call Tec a true friend. Plus Sue of course, although to be fair she just arrived and took over my house for weeks on end :-D


Only joking of course before she starts sticking her tongue out at me again :-D

Linda I know have been worried about Tec, but we never knew to the extent how much you were, with you having met Tec and being very close friends....I for one would like to thank you especially today for keeping us all informed on Tec's health and please know we are truly grateful for all you have done. A true friend to Tec and Duchess with a heart of gold and I am sending you special caring ((((hugs)))) for all what you have done to keep the communication going between all us his online friends <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Oh that's such a relief Linda. I too worried about that!

Wishing Tec a speedy recovery and hoping that the pain will be kept at a bearable level.

I just had an email from Tec's son in law to say that Tec came out of surgery about 1.00 o'clock, he was in quite a bit of pain, but they are getting that under control now.

His daughter is with him in the hospital, and his son in law will be going over to them this afternoon . They will give me more information as we get it via email.

They obviously moved the operation forward, I am so relieved that he has come through it because there was a good chance that he wouldn't, that is why I have been so worried.

So now I hope they will be able to keep him pain free and he will be well enough to communicate with us in a few days.

I'd just like to say that I'm thinking of all of you who have been Tec's close friends on this thread for some time now. It must be a very hard and worrying day for you all.

I feel so terrible today, jittery and nervous

His humour hasn't deserted him Berona, well not a couple of days ago when I last actually spoke to him, he was just as funny as ever and being so positive about the future.

I don't suppose we will hear anything until this evening, unless it is postponed of course. I will let everyone know as soon as I hear anything of course

Hello Berona - like you I have been thinking about Tec, the Duchess and the family today. Positive thoughts will be needed now <3

I suppose you are all feeling like I feel. I can't help thinking of Tec - also my thoughts are with his daughter, her husband and their daughter too. I just hope that Tec's wife has been receiving the kind of care applicable to what she is facing too. You will all be asleep as I write this (we are 11hrs ahead of you here on the eastern side of Australia), so I am beginning to feel more tension as the hours pass by. I know Linda will let us know what she learns as soon as she can. I just hope that Tec comes through it all Ok. He does have a lovely sense of humour and although I wouldn't be surprised if it deserted him now, I think he will soon find something to say that will show us it's still there.

Sue I hope you have a nice day whatever you end up doing, Linda's suggestion about driving to the coast and having a paddle sounds like a good idea :-)
