It will be great to natter to him on here again, hope his SIL gets a dongle for him soon.

Thank you all re- my Auntie, it came as a shock as I wasn't aware she was on palliative care for the last week.

Just 'passing through' and noticed your post, Linda; what good news that Tec is anxious to get his laptop fired up.. To hear that he was feeling normal must have been such a welcome response for you after the last few weeks - your commitment to keeping the communication between Genes friends and Tec's family has been amazing. Each day will be different, of course, and maybe some ups and downs, but this is such a positive start.
Tec, I hope your recovery continues to improve each day...one day at a time...and that you are back chatting soon.

i just managed to chat to him for a short time because a nurse turned up to do something. he sounded fine and was asking me how he could get onto wifi in the hospital as he has his laptop with him, but the hospital has no wifi. I will get his son in law to sort a myfi out

Brilliant news. I got a text mid morning from from Tec himself, saying that today he felt normal for the first time. He suggested I ring him, he sent a second message half an hour later. Annoyingly I didn't see either text until now.

I have tried to ring, but he didn't answer,so I will try again in a while and keep trying until I get him

It is winter,so I expect it to be cold, it is just all the water which is the problem.
Still the reservoirs will be full to overflowing, so the local TV stations won't be able to bleat on about the lack of water in the summer

I haven't had a reply yet to my email to Tec's daughter. Hopefully if all is well, she will be at work today. I will just have to wit patiently for a reply

It is quite a nice morning here, the standing water on the garden has soaked away, but I haven't been into the town yet to see how the river is doing

Finally, after all the sport (tennis, cricket :-( etc) our TV programmes are back to normal :-)

OH can have her normal fix of Home and Away, whilst I'll be throwing food at the telly in response to My Kitchen Rules. I don't know why I watch the show as the contestants never heed any of the advice I freely offer :-|

Much cooler here today and for the first time in over a week we haven't needed the air con. on :-)

Been thinking positive thoughts for Tec since Friday. Also thinking of the Duchess, and all of Tec's family :-)

Eve used to go swimming every weekend, so whenever we went down, grandma got to go with her, granddad managed to stay behind doing DIY. Since Esme was born they haven't been able to go regularly until the last few weeks when they have made a big effort to take her. Mummy goes one week, daddy the next. So this weekend grandma and granddad are going to take her

For those who don't know. Sue lives a couple of hours' drive south of where I do. However, whilst I live in Sydney, it is a sprawling metropolis and runs from the coast towards the mountains in the west. I live on the side of Sydney near the mountain road and the weather here can be very different from that which is happening in the city of Sydney, which is on the east coast.
Sue lives on the coast where she is - so if the weather is approaching from the north or south, we usually get the same weather, same temps, etc. - but if it's blowing in from the sea, or from the mountains - our weather can be very different from each other's.

Swimming :-0. Heated pool I hope :-D

I must start my day - I'm getting very lazy. OH has already done a load of stuff in the garden and I've only made the bed :-(
