Lovely to see you are home safe and sound, Linda. Eve must miss you so much when you go home. Before long so will Esme.

Hello Berona - it's been quite cool here although still humid.

I can well understand Tec being so weak - he has been unwell for so long and losing so much weight too. Good for him - I don't doubt that he will be running a marathon before too long.

LindainHerriotCountry Report 5 Feb 2014 09:35

I am sure they will look after him. I know he had lost over three stones in weight before he had the op, so no wonder he was week

Berona

Berona Report 5 Feb 2014 09:33

That was quick - getting onto learning to use the prosthetic leg. However, I think we know Tec well enough to know he will be determined to get the better of it. Go for it, Tec! but at the same time - take care!!

We came home yesterday, but had cinema duty last night,so by the time that was over, i was shattered,so just went straight to bed.

I had a text this morning from Tec which was a nice surprise, he was mainly asking about Esme. I assume his daughter told him as I had mentioned where we were going in my email to her.

He said
"I had my first lesson with prosthetic limb, very hard work, but I am still very weak"

What happened to everyone to-day? Hope all is well with all of you.

You see!!! We need to have Tec back with us!......and I hope we will have him back soon. Thinking of you all the time, Tec.

Reprieve from the heat to-day, only going to be 23 to-day, 25 tomorrow - then back up again.

Hi Everyone :-) :-)<3

Hope you are all ok :-)

Linda- I have copied and pasted Tec's news onto The Welsh Thread as you requested. Thankyou very much.

I still can't reach Tec but I heard from his daughter He is still in Shrewsbury hospital with lots of physio going on to get him mobile. He will have the filters removed later this week. He will move to the other hospital at the end of the week or next week.

Hello to anyone looking in. Sorry I haven't been around much but we've had a couple of early morning errands to run. I have an appointment in the morning (my time) so will be AWOL again :-(

Sorry that you have another worry, Sylvia - all I can say is that I hope things work out for both your daughter and SIL whatever happens.

It has been warm and very humid here but we are due some cooler weather with a little rain for the next few days.

A gentle hug for little Esme and big hug for Eve <3

Love as always to Tec and his Duchess <3

Hi Sue, and everyone

glad to hear that Esme is doing so well xxxx

another worrying phone call this morning!

This time, it was son-i-l who apparently went into a "deep funk", whatever that means, and daughter took him to Emergency at 5:30 am!

She phoned about 9 hours later to tell me the story, and to say they were about to go home. S-i-l had seen 3 nurses, 2 doctors, and a very helpful psychiatrist, who had given him some very good "coping strategies".

I think he is beginning to realise how big are some of the marital problems, and he doesn't have the ability to deal with them without retreating into himself.

She said he was much better after the talks, and they are both planning to go back to work tomorrow, even if for only part of the day.

On a more cheerful note .................. it has been a lovely day here. The sun came out, and the sky was blue. Unfortunately, it was only about 3C :-D

Take care everyone

xx

I know everyone has gone to bed or on with their day, but want to say hello to everyone, anyway.
Glad to know that Esme is responding as hoped and looking forward to hearing that she has gone home again.
Diane - my thoughts are with you. I'm sure everyone will be pleased with the way you have arranged everything. That's how it should be.

I laughed at your robot story Persie

To be fair Esme had the chest infection before she went in, I am surprised that they operated

Just off to bed... glad that Esme is progressing well Linda. :-) Not good that she got that darn infection during the process.

Looking forward to hearing more on the Tec front when you get hold of someone..

Good morning.

Esme has had her nasal tube removed and has been drip fed milk overnight through the new stomach tube. It seems fine so they are upping the amounts to get back to normal feeding. The cannula accidentally came out of her foot as well, but they are leaving it out. She should be able to come home tomorrow.

I am glad your arrangement s are going well Diane

Diane Report 1 Feb 2014 23:40

Hello everyone :-)

Linda I'm glad Esme is a little better today and I hope she soon recovers from bronchiolitis and is back home soon, gentle ((( hug ))) for her and a normal ((( hug ))) for Eve.

Sue your trip into the mountains and visit to the garden centre sounds nice :-)

Hello Mersey and Jem, hope you are both ok and not getting to wet with all the rain that is around :-)

Berona I hope your temps are not to high and you are managing to keep cool, I wish I could send you some of our rain, if it continues the south of england will sink :-(

Today I went to confirm the booking for my Aunt's wake and decide on the buffet food, Monday the priest is coming to discuse the arrangements for the service at the church.

Sending best wishes to Tec and hope he is improving and recovering well <3 <3

Pleased to hear that Esme is a little better. Sounds like you are both having a lovely if tiring time with Eve.

How awful to see such a dreadful to-do in a children's play centre. Bad enough that adults had to see that but the children too :-(
