Amanda - OH's paternal line were all Londoners and we have walked in their footsteps.

It is the traffic which gets me. OH drives around during the day, that is bad enough, but the rush hours are a nightmare.

Good morning Sue :-) The cities certainly do have their wonders and in some respects I would love to go on a sight seeing expedition of London . A lot of my people lived and worked in London , it is one hell of a culture shock to the likes of me though , coming from such a sleepy " back water " .......lol

I love London but like Sydney the big cities are great to visit but I wouldn't live there.

Hello Linda , I think your very brave to face London , I haven't been there for many a year and when I did venture in it was a case of " Country mouse " lol not my cup of tea at all :-0

Hello Amanda, I have a new route planned, I am getting quite good at getting around London, I couldn't live there though, I am always glad to get back to my little town.

Hello everyone .

Linda , I'm sorry to read that Esme had to return to the hospital , I do hope they can soon sort out her milk intake and that she stops being in such discomfort , poor little poppit :-( <3 I expect Eve will be very pleased to have you back :-)
I hope your journey isn't to difficult .

It is wonderful to hear the bit of news regarding Tec , I too have been thinking of him daily . It sounds as if he his determind to get to grips with the new leg . I hop he doesn't push himself to hard ! <3

Sue , Allan , Berona and all of you in the hot land , I hope that you are all holding up okay . We have had a few days of nice sunshine but it returned to strong winds and rain today . I won't moan about it though , considering how awful it is for the poor souls in the west country :-(

Diane , if you look in , I hope today went well <3

Berona

Sorry to know Esme has had a setback, Linda. I suppose you can't get back there quick enough.
I didn't know about the tube strike. Can't imagine what that has caused. Never had one whilst I lived there - but I must say the buses ran very frequently. Hope you can get across London OK.

Hello everyone :-D

Gentle hugs for little Esme and a big hug for Eve - at least she will get to see you soon. When Aiden was little he couldn't understand why we didn't visit more often. Now of course he understands.

I hope the heat wave doesn't come over here Allan - it's been pleasantly cool for the last few days although humid. We had to have a new air con this summer too.

Thank you all for your concern, I have just spoken to my daughter and Esme is better than yesterday, but is obviously hungry,so it will be good when they restart the milk tomorrow. the biggest problem is trying to stop her from knocking the cannula in her hand

I have just been working out how to get across London tomorrow. I can't go the normal way because of the tube strike.

I hope you enjoy your trip Allan and the new air con

Allan Report 5 Feb 2014 21:38

Hello all

Linda, I'm sorry to hear of Esme's setback. Hopefully the hospital will be able to set things right as soon as possible.

WA is having another heatwave, but I can guarantee that it will finish next Thursday, which is when we are having our new air conditioner fitted :-D

I'm also looking forward to the end of the month when we are going to Esperance for a few days. OH's choir is singing at the Catholic church there on the last Saturday in Feb. Esperance is the most distant of the Parishes in the Bunbury Diocese being between 600 and 700 kms from here, depending on which route you travel. It is on the south coast of WA. We'll probably travel inland on the way there, which is the furthest journey, but return via Albany and the coastal route.

Hi Linda :-)

I'm so sorry to hear about little Esme. I hope that it will get easier and less painful for her soon, poor little girl. It will be lovely for Eve to have Hanma for a little while longer though.

Hi~~~~~~~~ to Sue and all my Aussie Thread Friends :-) :-) <3

I spoke too soon, Esme is back in hospital,so I am going back down to London tomorrow.

I will go on the train and OH will drive down sometime at the weekend. Esme was fine while she was in hospital and she was just having milk pumped into her stomach slowly overnight. she coped with small amounts of milk every two hours during the day, but when they tried to up the milk, she was in a lot of pain. She is back on a glucose drip and they are going to restart the milk tomorrow, but just very slowly over the next few days.

eve will be delighted because she was very upset when we left, she kept asking me why we had to go back to our house
