Hello everyone,

Late I know but after reading the post of last couple of days I had to do a quick post,

Linda I'm so sorry to hear that Esme is going through so much after her operation and hope things will soon improve, her parents, you and OH must be worried sick about her.
It must also be hard for little Eve but I'm sure having you to play with helps both her and her parents. (((( hugs )))) to all of you <3

~~~~~~~ to everyone thinking of Tec and the Duchess <3
Yes it's good when they are a little older and a bit more independent.
I going to sign off now and get some jobs done. It's going to be hot today so I want to get things done while its still cool.
Take care <3
At least Eve had her nursery friends to play with, so I din't have to play with her
I don't blame him, Linda :-)
I think both Drew and Aiden will be having special birthday parties as they turn 10. I can't believe how quickly they have grown :-0
It was OK, but it is amazing just how much noise a group of three year olds can make. Eve was joining in with gusto. OH chickened out and stayed behind to do some gardening
SueMaid
SueMaid Report 9 Feb 2014 21:25
Have you got a headache from the birthday party? I do try to avoid the big ones.
He could be Sue, but I thought that before and his phone was just turned off, I will keep trying
SueMaid
SueMaid Report 9 Feb 2014 21:12
Esme's parents may be finding it easier now if they'd been told before.
Perhaps Tec is in the local cottage hospital and has no reception.
I forgot to say tha t I tried to phone Tec today, but it just went to answer phone
No, they didn't, they also did the operation in one stage, straight to a button, where it is mor normal to go to a stomach tube first, they do a second procedure to add the button later.
Apparently it takes longer to heal all in one step, but they weren't told that either
SueMaid Report 9 Feb 2014 20:58
Hello Linda - hope you are coping ok. Did the surgeon tell your daughter and SIL this before the operation? Looks like a bit of a rough journey ahead :-(
LindainHerriotCountry
LindainHerriotCountry Report 9 Feb 2014 20:51
Hello everyone,
Esme has been moved back to the hospital where she had her operation. The surgeons have seen her but said that there is no problem with the operation itself. They said that with some babies who are developmentally delayed, the intestines can be upset by the surgery and it can take a long time to get back to where they were.
OH has to go home on Tuesday morning, but I will stay here to help out
Hello everyone :-)
Sylvia - I hope you and your OH are feeling so much better soon.
Poor Esme - she is going through so much and is too little to understand what's happening. I hope they can sort this out for her very soon. Her poor parents must be tearing their hair out.
Linda , I hope the party and all the noise hasn't given you a headache !
I am so sorry to hear that Esme is going though so much , it really is to heart breaking to think of her being in such a condition :-( I can't begin to imagine how much it must be tearing you all up . <3
Oh dear Sylvia, that is one bug you can keep to yourself.
It is Sunday afternoon and I am with Eve at a children's birthday party. It is a private hiring, but it seems like there are thousands of screaming three year olds. Mercifully Eve is playing with some nursery friends so I can sit down.
Poor Esme is in a state, they tried her on milk yesterday but she is in pass much pain as when she was resubmitted. So they have stopped the milk and she is just on clear fluids through the tube
They tried to put another cannula in this morning but couldn't find a vein
Just a quick pop in before I put the computer to bed. Sylvia - I hope it does warm up where you are - you need to keep yourself warm with that virus.
Linda - I'm thinking of Esme and also of Tec. Please pass on my thoughts to Tec if you get to talk/text him - and thank you. I can't stand that little Esme is still having
problems. Perhaps the complaint might get her better attention this time.
To all - sleep well or have a nice day. Goodnight from me.
;-) ;-)
Hi Sue and everyone
Linda ................ thank you for keeping us updated on Tec. It is good news that the Duchess has settled.
Yes, you can indeed have phantom pain from an amputation.
Poor little Esme, she's certainly going through it at the moment. xxxxx
The weather is going to warm up here ...................... we have snow, freezing rain and then rain forecast for Sunday and Monday :-S
OH had the dread lurgy on Tuesday ......... otherwise known as stomach flu (or possibly norovirus)
Guess what??
he very kindly shared it with me .............................
i have been sick since late Wednesday night :-(
It is my second bout in 2 weeks, as I had a go with it while we were with out daughter.
On the bright side .................... I have lost 5 lbs in the last 3 days ........ which means a total of 7 lbs in the last 2 weeks, as I lost 4 lbs the first time but put 2 lbs back on.
Not that I really intended to lose that much in such a short time :-)
take care everyone
