LindainHerriotCountry Report 23 Feb 2014 13:12

Do you think I am that daft?

Don't answer that :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 23 Feb 2014 13:10

If you're Googling it, you won't find it under Dolthingy :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 23 Feb 2014 13:07

Dolthingy is a very different town, built in 1300 and something by King Edward something, to keep the Welsh out :-D :-D :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 23 Feb 2014 13:04

Yes Dolthingy was much more salubrious :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 23 Feb 2014 12:59

Linda - if you look down on Fairbourne as you go over the rock (the cliff road) you notice that it's actually below sea level, in a sort of a bowl or saucer.

It was never meant as a permanent residential estate. I t was originally built as holiday bungalows to be occupied just 10 months of the year. The Council eventually agreed to sell them to the residents.

I wouldn't want to spend a night there.

No, they might not let us visit him if you did. When was it you said you were coming Sue?

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 23 Feb 2014 12:55

It's cold and windy here too Linda. I have to go to Wrexham tomorrow. I do hope not in a wreck of an old ambulance, it is a two hour journey.

Mersey I wouldn't dare tell the nurses that Sue and Linda are mad. :-D

OH hates breakfast in bed.,

I am using my tablet and the predictive text substitutes Messy for Mersey :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 23 Feb 2014 12:51

Tec, I was reading in the paper how lots of villages on the Welsh coast may have to be sacrificed to the sea because of the huge price involved in building defences. The one they keep citing is Fairbourne, apparently it will be gone by 2055.

Tecwyn Report 23 Feb 2014 12:50

But the children are not there now to be entertained, so it should be role reversal, with you OH being served bacon butties in bed with the paper on Sunday mornings. I'm sure he would agree if you were to ask him :-D.

Hello Linda :-)

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 23 Feb 2014 12:45

Oh I missed you all. Mersey OH brings me a coffee and bacon sarnie in bed every Sunday morning, along with the Sunday Times. So I have a !lazy morning before I get up and read more of the paper downstairs. I don't put the computer on until lunchtime.

It is a hang over from when he used to work away during the week, so I had to cope with the children on my own. Sunday morning was my time to relax while he entertained the children.

I should imaging a new AC unit would be very very expensive. I had to have a new central heating boiler last year, that was £4,000 in all

Hello Mersey Pink Lady :-D how are you ?

It was a great achievement at 60, and I was so pleased for her. Now she has a little car and there's no stopping her :-D
