I think your OH is right in his prediction that Moyes is for the boot. I don't know what the trouble is there, but it's not working out for him :-0

I like them because they flower late when everything else has finished, and stand up to the roughest weather. Also called the "Wind Flower" I prefer the white ones to the pink.
What a pity I'm not home, I could send you some :-0

I shall be saying cheerio for now , catch you all later :-)

All this talk of gardens reminded me that I had promised the lady that runs the village shop some plants from my garden. She is planting up a new garden, so is grateful for any donations. She greatly admired the flox, and the white Japanese anemone sp :-)
I have just e-mailed her to say to go and get as many as she likes before it's to late to transplant them.
Lots of things can go, except my rose trees, can't part with them, but they look after themselves really

I have quite a lot of grape hyacinths in the garden, but very few daffodils. We have taken two trees out of the borders so have more open ground now, so I should get sorted out for next year

Sue , it sounds have if your garden has been blooming this year :-) Planting Dahlias so late in the year sounds a bit odd to me though , I hope you get some flowers off them .

Linda , the bulbs in pots are the ones I bought quite late in the January sales for 50p a bag :-0 Grape Hyacynth (sp ) and daffodills mixed , perhaps you could pot some up in the autumn if you have a corner you could leave them in . It eally is easier to plant they in the green I think .

See you later Sue, is it big or small grandson?

We ought to have more bulbs in our garden, but I can never get round to planting more.I should have raided your stall Amanda

My garden is starting to wind down a little now. The potted tuberous begonias aren't at their best now although I'm still getting glorious blooms. My neighbour gave me some dahlia tubers and I planted them in the garden where they did nothing until a month ago - now they are growing. I hope I get some flowers before it starts getting cooler.

Must be off - hopefully I will be back before you all go to bed.

It is too cold to start things off here Amanda.

I went to the allotment this morning because OH was mending the greenhouse door, but the soil was wet and cold. One new person was bravely digging his plot over, but the clods looked very heavy

Good Morning Sue,
Good Evening Linda,

Sue it will be good to re-hash the garden. I wasn't entirely happy with it anyway.
Going home on Thursday will give me a chance to see what my daughter and SIL have been up to. I know that they have emptied the dining room and re decorated it ready to be my bedroom.

Linda I'm only allowed an hour at the house. They wouldn't allow the OT guys to take me by car, I have to go by ambulance, and the crew are only allowed an hour for a home visit.
I have been looking at gadgets and things that might be useful to me. Surprising what's out there.

Have to send an e-mail to someone, won't be long

Hi Sue :-) <3 Hi Linda :-) <3

Tecwyn Report 25 Feb 2014 20:34

Good Evening Mersey,

I am looking forward to facing the challenges when I go home, and finding ways to get over them. I used a wheelchair before I went into hospital, and found one of the most awkward tasks from a wheelchair is filling the kettle at the sink, or anything else at the sink for that matter. Maybe the OT guys will have an answer to that one.

Amanda, Much of my garden is already hard surface, that I did when we had the dogs. I don't have a lawn. So basically it's two wide borders down the sides, stuffed full of shrubs and perennial plants.

Hello everyone

All those bulbs sound lovely Amanda.

It will be lovely for you to be able to go home Tec, even if it is only for the afternoon.

I am sure that the OT will have lots of gadgets to make life easier for you, although you may need to source some things for yourself. I remember you looking at some websites with aids before, so you can use your dongle to see what is available
