Hello Mersey Pink Lady :-D,

They never said why. I got ready for 9 o'clock as arranged, and the OT guy who was coming with me arrived at 10 o'clock to say the transport was cancelled.
They haven't said I might go again. It was for the OT guy to discuss what was needed for when I go home.

Anyway, I've had enough. I left home a week after Christmas and here we are nearly into March. Apart from a small procedure I have to have done back in Shrewsbury next week there's nothing to be done. Yesterday my doctor said there was no medical reason why I should be here, and provided my blood pressure improves a bit I can go home next week, so that is what I shall do.

Hi Tec :-) <3 Im so sorry to hear that your transport never happened which I personally think is disgraceful by the way!!! :-|

Have they told you the reason why?? and when you will be actually going, I know you were looking forward to it so much <3

Sylvia Im sorry to hear about the cabin, just think of it as the people who went to buy it were not the ones for it, you want it to go to the right people and enjoy it and love it as much as you did....... <3

Well here I am, all dressed up, and nowhere to go.
The transport to take me home fell through, although it was booked a week ago.
To say I am gutted is an understatement. I was so looking forward to just seeing the old place.

Sylvia sorry to see the sale of the cabin didn't happen. Sounds like you had "time wasters" there. It will sell eventually, probably in the summer.

Oh dear Sylvia, I am so sorry the property sale fell through. Selling can be an absolute nightmare, I look back to when we bought this house with absolute horror.

The one good thing is that it is not your principal residence,so apart from the annoyance, it doesn't affect your current living arrangements. Fingers crossed that more buyers will turn up and you estate agent will be on the ball this time.

I hope Tec is enjoying his home visit :-)

Hi Sue, and everyone

Tec ............... what a wonderful day you had!! It must have been great to see The Duchess.

I will keep my fingers crossed that you will go home next week xxxx

well, we had about 12 cm of snow by Monday evening :-(

Then yesterday and today (ie, Tuesday and Wednesday) have been gorgeous .............. foggy in the early mornings, but sunny during the day. The temperature is still only about 4C though, so there are patches of snow still lying around.

The sale of the cabin fell through ......................... our realtor called both the potential buyers AND their realtor "naive" ..........

they had planned on putting down a 10% deposit, and then getting the rest from a government programme called CHMC

Unfortunately, for them, that programme is only for buying a principal residence, nor recreational property!

Their realtor should have checked that with them before putting in the offer ........ it's known as "pre-qualifying" to avoid wasting everyone's time :-)

Never mind, it was a good exercise for us to go through, as we have never actually sold any property before :-)

take care everyone

I can count on my daughter to be hard on me, right bossy boots she can be :-(
there'll be no slacking with her around.
She is so busy at weekends at my house.

Well, I am tired, and have a busy day tomorrow, and an early start. So I want to sort my clothes out, and go to bed.

Hope you all have a good day, or a good night,

Bye Sue,

Goodnight Linda, and Mersey,
Tec

You will not be hopping about on one leg, you will be gliding in your wheelchair and if you get a fancy water kettle thingy, you can jolly well make coffee for us :-D

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 26 Feb 2014 21:22

Why have you had to get your own supper Linda?

You can't get the staff these days, and no good relying on me anymore hopping about on one leg :-D

Hello Sue, though maybe you are out to breakfast by now. Seems odd people going out to breakfast - maybe it will catch on here.

Sorry I disappeared, I've been exchanging e-mails with my daughter re my going home. I think I have frightened her. It must be awful to have troublesome parents such as hers.

All I can think about now is going home. Shame I have to go back to Shrewsbury to have this filter taken out. I do hope that goes to plan.

It was an exciting day today. First the doctor telling me I could go home, and then the Duchess being brought on a visit. I think she will be better now knowing that she has seen me, and that I'm ok, although our daughter has been telling her every week what was happening.

Hello everyone :-D.

I think Horatio is the perfect name for your parrot, Tec :-). I am so pleased your Duchess was able to visit you today. What a wonderful surprise. If they won't let you home then we will arrange a jailbreak :-D

I can't stay to chat this morning. We are going out for breakfast with my brother and SIL. I am happy that we continue to build up our relationship after being estranged for a number of years.
