oh .......... this stuff is granular, and it doesn't leave puddles behind!

The best thing is that it doesn't harm plants (including grass) it it happens to get on to the garden

Hi Mersey ................ how are you on this fine day????

Tec .............. sleep well. Maybe the fiery Welsh dragon will take care of the stoney faced night nurse :-)

SueMaid Report 1 Mar 2014 22:16

Goodnight Tec - sweet dreams <3

Whatever the stuff is I think I had something similar for melting the ice out of the freezer in the days before frost free freezers were in the stores. I would spray it on and the ice would melt away. Of course then I had puddles of water to dry up :-|

Sue .................... the wind was the worst!

We had to go to the store this morning to buy more "melting stuff" to spread on the paths and sidewalks if it does snow. It's some sort of "magic" stuff, not just plain salt, that works wonders in melting snow so it does stick. Somehow, it raises the temperature of the surface.

OH used the last of the lot we had with all the snow last weekend.

Hello Sylvia. It is springlike here, I am trying to ignore the fact that there is plenty of time for snow yet

Hello Sylvia - Good Afternoon,

Yes I have decided to stay where I am. I've given in - but not given up :-D

Well I had best go to bed now.

Enjoy your day Sue,

Sleep well Linda, and Mersey,

Goodnight,
Tec :-)

Hello Sylvia - sounds very cold and bleak :-( I guess I shouldn't complain that our summer appears to be over :-(

I had to work very hard Linda - there were loads of children that evening :-|

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 1 Mar 2014 22:04

So that's how you came to get the tent then - I suppose the alternative was a chair behind the compost heap :-D

LindainHerriotCountry

LindainHerriotCountry Report 1 Mar 2014 22:02

Yes of course, you sold sweets didn't you. :-D

If Tec glows in the dark that will scare the frosty faced nurse :-D

Hi Sue, and everyone

it's very chilly today, and the wind was bitter.

the "s" word is in the forecast ......... and some large numbers ahve been tossed around by various people :-(

Tec ............ I think you would be very wise to stay there until the bed is delivered to the house. You don't want to cause problems with your leg. (((hugs)))

volunteers, eh, Linda? :-)

some of them can be less than reliable. Hope the missing one has a good excuse :-)

take care everyone

Well Pink Lady it's a wonderful recipe of silliness, craziness and all that fun, and should be sprinkled everywhere :-) The world would be a happier place, especially for us nutcases :-D

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 1 Mar 2014 21:57

Oh dear Linda no wonder you are annoyed :-(

Of course I could have stepped in being rather experienced at working in the cinema. Not by choice I might add - we were forced to work there to earn our keep :-(

Mersey

Mersey Report 1 Mar 2014 21:56

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 1 Mar 2014 21:56

Tecwyn

Tecwyn Report 1 Mar 2014 21:53

What's in that Fairy Dust? and does it itch? :-D

I won't stay late tonight because the frosty faced nurse is on nights. :-D

LindainHerriotCountry Report 1 Mar 2014 21:50

well

I spent all afternoon with the cinema secretary sorting out all the invitations for the annual volunteers thank you evening. To save on postage,we leave as many as possible in the cinema kiosk for people to pick up.

I popped round this evening to leave them in the kiosk, only to find two volunteers trying to cope on their own. One young lad who has been there a while, but has only torn tickets and one lady who stands in very infrequently and doesn't know to do things.

They were trying to work out what to do with the money, but hadn't a clue.I ended up doing a full training session for them. I don't know who else was supposed to be there, I will have to sort that out tomorrow, but presumably who ever it was hadn't turned up. So my quick visit turned into over an hour
